Other than the themes are the family suites basically the same at ASMu & AOA? Since we selling our DVC until I am finished with graduate school next year's trip would require a family suite. I am trying to decide where to stay. AOA is more expensive correct?

I think the difference is the AoA rooms have a strong theme to them. You still get a separate bedroom and sleepers in the living room, 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette. And when we stayed at ASMu in a family suite we only paid around $240 a night. I have seen the AoA suites priced as high as $350 a night.

It wouldn't be worth the price difference to me.

I also didn't like the food court menu I saw on Allears for Aoa.

AoA suites are a bit larger, 565 sq ft vs. 540. There are internal corridor entrance doors vs. Motel style outside doors. AoA is brand new.

They are completely different:

ASMu has a large living room with a sleeper sofa, sleeper chair and sleeper ottoman. Small round table with two chairs. Two separate sleeping areas. The kitchen area is L shaped with more cabinets and counter. Two full size closet areas alongside the sink.

AoA has a smaller living room with a sleeper sofa, and a dining room with a rectangular table that the whole family can fit around. The table drops down to a murphy bed/double. So AoA has 3 separate sleeping areas, no TV in the dining room. Small straight kitchen area with less storage.

Your choice!!
