Hi all,

We're planning to go to a family style buffet dinner at a Disney restaurant and wondering if our infant can order the hot dish (from the children's menu). It seems that since they don't charge admission for an infant, they don't allow them to order from the menu (i.e. has to share with others).

If this is the case, it may be an inconvenient for us since our infant (obviously) will prefer items from kids' menu other than adult's.

Any advice is appreciated.

When a meal is served all-you-can-eat family style it means the server is bringing the platter to your table for all to partake in. I'm not aware of a family style meal where they have a separate children's menu. Someone else will correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, your under 3 kiddo can share from the platter at no charge. If there is a separate kids menu then you are welcome to order from that out of pocket for your under 3 child.

What restaurant are you referring to? My curiosity is getting the better of me trying to figure this out.

I'm referring to the Arkhesus restaurant (princess character dining at Norwegian pavillion in Epcot). This is a "buffet" restaurant, but you still have to order from the menu for your hot dish.

I think LTT in MK also has the same settings.

Again, any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that the child is free only if they eat off of your plate. If you choose to order them something else, you will have to pay out of pocket.

I can answer for sure abot LTT (dinner). It's family style and it's all you can eat so they are free. They will give them a plate. There is no menu to order off of for dinner. If you specifically ask for the menu (for lunch items) because your child doesn't like the family style food, you will be charged for anything even if the child was OVER 3. I don't even know if they'd let you order off the lunch menu anyway, but if they did, it would be extra.

At PSB lunch/dinner (breakfast, they'd get a plate and share with everyone), I'm not 100% sure on that one. They do have a cold buffet but a hot menu and those paying get to enjo both; the cold buffet and then order off the hot menu. My girls always get the turkey wraps. There is NO price associated with the food items on this menu as it's part of the 'buffet/all you can eat' price so I'm not sure if they can get something off this menu, but my guess is yes. I hope someone whose eaten there for lunch/dinner with an under 3 year old can chime in soon.
