We are planning our first trip to WDW in december. Our group is comprised of 7 adults and 2 children (11 and 9). I want to go for one of the character meals but I'm figuring that my DH, adult DS and both of my DD's fiance's will not want to attend. This leaves my 2 adult DD's, my two younger children and myself to go. Any ideas on a nice restaurant for the guys to eat near the Cyrstal Palace? How long do the character meals usually take? Thanks!

Vicky

I'd really encourage them to try the Character Breakfast. They are a lot of fun. And watching the faces of complete strangers kids is enchanting, watching the faces of your own children/grandchildren/niece/nephew is priceless.

If you are looking for "nice" in the MK, the only real choice is Cindys. Prime Rib, etc. Or maybe they just want to head over to Peco's Bills and grab a burger and do some adult rides. They could also head over to the GF to Narcoosees.

A character meal takes about an hour.

The Plaza Restaurant is close by and has great food; or they can get hot dogs at Casey's!!!

For those who don't want the character meal, I would suggest Tony's. It's one of our favorites.

Thanks so much for your replies and suggestions! I'm still hoping to talk them into going with us but since there are 4 of them it won't be like only one or two will have to find something else to do. At least I have time before I can make the PS's!!

Thanks again!
Vicky;)

Does the character meal have to be in the Magic kingdom. Perhaps one of the resort character meals or The Garden Grille in Epcot. The food is good and the characters don't take intrude on your meal. If they eat faster than everyone they can always leave earlier.

We are hoping to do the meal with Tigger, Pooh and gang since one of my daughter's is obsessed with Tigger! I believe that we can only do that at the CP.

If you're going at lunch time, have them try the Grand Floridian Cafe at the GF. Its only open for lunch and breakfast, but its a very nice 'classy' place for lunch and right on the monorail.
