family pulled from burning van

It's a van, not a fan.

My first thought was, how did the family get into the fan? Must have been a big fan.

And it says Milwaukee, so not in Orlando or Anaheim.

It was in Milwaukee, only a few miles from where I work. Neighbors heard the crash and came running, kicking in windows and pulling the family out. There's a nice story about two brothers, off duty fire fighters, who were able to get last child out of the burning van.

If anyone deserves a trip to Disney World, it's the people who live here and risked there own lives trying to save this family.

It called a typo.

I assumed this was the Dis.

And this thread is the Dis Podcast.

So, should it have something to do with Disney, or more specifically, the Dis Podcast?

OP,

Thanks for the post. I watched the vidio.

The world is filled with Heros that we never hear about!

I was so happy to see people get involved, at great risk to them to help others.

A lot of the posts on this board are off topic. The OP might not have put OT in the title, but it was a positive posting to remind people of the goodness in others. :hippie:

The Podcast board is a community. There is nothing wrong with posting something outside the parks here. You are always free to skip over a post that doesn't interest you.

Ok folks....

We have no issue with off topic topics.

The podcast crew are often "off topic"

Thanks,
Kevin

I thought it might be helpful to tell folks where it occured, in case they didn't want to click on the link to the video. They might have (I might have) assumed it had something to do with Disney.

I was just trying to be helpful.

But I certainly don't have to do that again.

You seem to be really upset about this. Are you okay? No one here said you couldn't nor shouldn't be helpful. Thanks for mentioning where this happened so others wouldn't be confused.

This board has always been for a wide variety of topics, not just those Disney related. I really like that. :)

Cat, where'd you first here about this? I only saw it on the news today.

We certainly appreciate everyone's thoughts and opinions.

We also appreciate the fact that we all try to help each other on this board.

As stated earlier.....we discuss almost any topic (as long as it falls within the Dis guidelines of acceptability). i myself have started threads regarding The Amazon Kindle and a YouTube video aout a European accapella group.

These boards are moderated and we will close, change or alter any thread or post that does not meet these guidelines.

We try not to do that and as long as everyone plays by the rules we dont have to.

Thanks,
Kevin

i was reading about the monorail wrek and i saw a link to that video

I heard about that video from a friend and I can't imagine it sounds like every moms nightmare!

I made a personal decision not to watch it (before I saw this post) just because I get freaked out very easy.

But I can't imagine how terrifying!!

Thanks for sharing!

I saw it on the news yesterday. Mom and 2 kids. The youngest had very bad burns. The other 2 were okay. So sad, but very thankful there are people out there who are willling to go so far and help in such a dangerous situation.
