this year we are meeting ny niece husband and two boys husband just back from Iraq is there anyway to prebook anthing special such as opening park or grand parade marshalls or if not what types of things like this are available and do you have tips on how to get picked thanks daveb

All the special events like that are picked randomly throughout the day, but my suggestion would be to explain your family and ask, if you get a good CM who knows who to talk to, then you have a good chance! Good luck and welcome home to your family!

Town Hall just inside MK and ask to be part of flag retreat.They do give consideration to vetrans and active duty folks in our armed force's.The other things you asked about are random.Have a magical time at WDW.

We were one of the first families at the gate at MGM long before it opened. We happen to have 6 kids and they were all wearing matching t-shirts. That's how we got to open the park. The best part was, it had never occured to me that it could happen to us. I was just trying to beat the crowd, it was our first day, and we hadn't figured out how long the buses would take! LOL
The CM mentioned that our shirts made us stick out. Worth a shot, and definately mention about the recently returned veteran to anyone that will listen.
