Family of 5?

Hello!

We are a family of 5, me DH and 3 boys ages 11,9,6. It appears that all of the on site resorts at Universal allow 5 in a room with a roll away. Which resort would you stay at? We would proably go with the cheapest room option, no suite or anything. I keep reading all the info and cannot make a decision! Really, the Universal Resorts all seem very nice.

Royal Pacific should be the least amount of $. HRH next and finally Portofino. With kids the ages of yours I would say RPR or HRH. Keep in mind the room size will vary. You would have a bit more room at HRH and with 5 in a room you may like that. Compare $ difference. Sign up at Loews for a first card and possibly get an upgrade if available at check in. A rollaway for the 5th is optionable, you can bring an air mattress. That would avoid the extra $25 a day as well as give you more space in the room. Pool hopping is allowed so stay at one and visit the others. There are discounts on the rooms when available using an Annual Pass or AAA card. The AAA is the only discount acceptable when wanting your Loews benefits. You are correct, all the onsites are very nice and I have no problem staying at any of them.

My family of five has stayed at both RPR and HRH. HRH has bigger rooms...the bathroom was so much bigger and nicer. Plus, my kids ADORED the HRH pool with its cool waterslide. When we go back, we'll stay at HRH. RPR is very nice, but we liked HRH a lot better. Of course, RPR will probably be slightly cheaper.

Thanks! I signed up for the Lowes First Card! We will probably go for the HRH. I am getting so excited! Only 8 months to wait!!! I already have AAA so I will probably make my final decision and book it soon!
