Hi All!

I've been checking out some off resort properties. In the past we've stayed at the Sheraton Vistana (which we've loved) but we'd like something closer to the parks. Many of the hotels that appeal to us: Waldorf Astoria, Bonnet Creek, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton are not letting us book a standard room for 3 children. It's only providing us with rates for the larger suites.

Has anyone had this experience? Where are larger families staying?

Thanks so much!

Try the Hilton Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs. Their junior suite has two queen beds and a fold out couch.

It is not a luxury hotel like the Four Seasons or The Ritz, but it is right across the street from Disney Springs, has a decent pool area, Early Entry privileges to the parks, and you can book Fast Passes 60 days out.

These places are more in line with the Vistana, not the more upscale Four Seasons:

Wyndham Bonnet Creek, the timeshare resort, has up to 4-bedroom units and is next to the Caribbean Beach resort. You can rent the villas from many places. Our family prefers WBC to Vistana.

On the hotel side. the Wyndham Grand Hotel, which is part of the WBC complex, has family bunk bed rooms that should work.

Another Disney Springs hotel that would work is the Doubletree.

Close to Animal Kingdom is the Springhill Suites Flamingo Crossings, which is very nice and in a quiet location.

Have you considered renting a condo? We're a family of 5 and have rented condos at Windsor Hills in the past. For shorter visits we stay at the B Resort.

I would also recommend a condo or villa. We stayed off site at Blue Tree Resort, Lake Buena Vista a couple of months ago and the space and facilities were great and its close proximity to Disney Springs is helpful.

We’ve stayed here. Great savings. Great pool. Get your own car, or Uber. Their courtesy buses aren’t always convenient.
