I would think we would have to sit 2-2-1. Does the 1 sitting alone feel left out, or is it pretty easy to still feel together like a family?

We are a family of five and have eaten at Sci Fi twice. The first time DS9 requested the front seat to himself. He was so into the movie clips and atmosphere of the restaurant, we couldn't get him to turn around and talk to us. We barely got his order out of him, and this is a kid with sooooo much to say. He loved it!

At his request we had lunch there again 3 weeks ago. This time he asked his dad to sit in the front with us. DD13, DD5 and myself sat in the middle seat comfortably. The waiter said we could get some hitchhikers for the back but never did.

Oh, and we really like the food here!

I would also put the alone one in the front of the car. This is our kids favorite place to eat!

We will be 3 this time (+adding nephew) So thinking the same thing. We will have an odd number and trying to picture seating. Thinking we will wait till we are there, but one of us will probably seat alone, and "turn around". :confused3

we'll be 6, our first time at Sci-Fi, We'll do two tables, don't know if we will be far from each other, but it's 2 families, got our ADRs, so we'll just wing it. Have to try it out. :goodvibes

We're a party of 3, so I'm going to have my kids sit together in the front and I'll sit in the middle seat alone. It would be kind of weird to be sitting by myself, but I think I'll enjoy the peace and quiet for a while. :thumbsup2

I'm wondering if we'll get hitchhikers? Or, maybe we'll be the hitchhikers if we're seated with a party of 2 who will check in before we do. I'm kind of hoping my kids get a front seat. Dd is very short.

We've done Sci-Fi with three with our teenage son sitting in the seat behind us. Then we had a single "hitchhiker" in the back. We could easiler turn around and talk to our son. He did not have any interaction with the hitchhiker.

Only word of advice - if you have a small penlight, take it with you. As it should be (it's a drive in after all), it's very dark. You might have problems reading the menu.
