So while I know that number can be supported...but here is the bigger question I will have a 3 year old on the pull out sofa and a 1 year old in a crib...will we fit come bedtime? We are looking at a studio so that my husband and I can go on the balcony at night and let the kids "try" and sleep.

The pull out sofa is next to the sliding doors to the balcony, so you will need to be very quiet going in and out to the balcony. The crib should be able to fit across from the sofa in the corner. You do have to move the coffee table out of the way to open the couch, so it could be very tight.

It will depend on the resort. Some studios are very small (AKV Value studios and all BLT studios). While others are pretty large (PVB and VGF). I would not attempt your configuration at the AKV Value and BLT would be tight. I definitely would not attempt to use a full-size crib in any of the studios. There are pack and plays in the units and you should be able to fit it in somewhere. If you don't open the sofabed and just put the older child down to sleep on the unopened sofa, you could fit the pak and play right in front of it.

It really will depend on the resort. A Polynesian villa would be a different consideration than say, BLT.

Yes,
Poly, VGF, BRV, BWV and BCV all have the additional Murphy Bed that the 3yo could sleep on and allow the couch to remain a couch with more floor area.

I wouldn't consider a full size crib, but the pack-n-play could work at the previously-posted studios.

This was the million dollar question for our upcoming trip (we have a 4 year old and a 1 year old). We eventually decided on Art of Animation bc separate sleeping spaces for our kids will make everything easier. That being said, had we been able to swing a studio at the Poly, we would have done that - they are huge and our 4 year old could have slept on the pull down bed rather than the sofa, giving us more space. I would have put my 1 year old's pack n play in the bathroom by the door.

If you do choose a studio for your fam, I suggest a white noise machine for whichever kid is sleeping right next to the door so that the opening and closing doesn't wake him/her at every open or close.

Have you considered a Value Resort with a Family Suite? We frequently stay in an All Star Music Family Suite. It's perfect for when our teenage son comes with us because we have a totally separate room in case he wants to stay up late or when he gets back from the parks after we have already gone to bed. The added bonus is the second bathroom. I'm pretty sure you can still use a crib or pack and play in the ASMu Family Suite but we haven't traveled with an infant for many years.

OKW has 2 queen beds plus enough room for your crib - in their studios.

where are you hoping to stay at? would definitely agree with BLT or AKV value being to small - but think AKV standard would work?

It would absolutely work in a Poly studio. We fit the pack n play in the small shower room, and there is a pull down bed for the 3 year old. Plenty of room in the massive studios at Poly.
