...Is this even a feasible possibility? We own at BLT and always get the 1BR when it's just the four of us, but a Spring Break 2019 trip isn't happening unless we have a studio. I know BLT studio is out of the question, and Poly studios are supposed to be spacious...just looking for some "been there done that" advice. Thanks!

I've only stayed there with 2 people, but I think it would be very doable to stay in a Poly studio with a family of 4 as long as 2 are kids (not older teens/adults). Keep in mind the bed that pulls down from the wall is definitely child-sized. The two bathrooms are GREAT and would be super convenient for 4. If you plan to make extensive use of the kitchenette, that might make it less than ideal, but still doable, IMO. Our home is BLT and I find the Poly studios much more spacious than BLTs. Hope that helps!

Thanks!!! Kiddos are 6 and 11. I'm sure they'd be fighting over who gets to sleep in the Murphy bed! :upsidedow

DH and I stayed there with a 16yo man (son plays football and is tall and all muscles) and our 12yo daughter and it was fine. We would absolutely do it again. DD slept on the Murphy bed and was very comfortable. Having the extra bathroom with the shower and sink made getting ready in the mornings so much easier. Kids hung out on the balcony together and actually enjoyed each other’s company. Kids even said they would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed in a Poly Studio for a couple nights before a cruise a few years back with a 10 and 8 year old. We found the room to be very spacious, but I would say that it might lose it's luster for a longer stay with lots of luggage. The Queen bed is elevated so you can put your suitcases underneath. That being said, it was one of our best trips ever! Poly is awesome, I just wish it had 1BR/2BR (other than the bungalows)

We've done a studio with what is essentially 3 adults. Our son is over 18. And we did it at Beach Club, so only one shower.

No problems.

You could save even more points by booking OKW studio with two real queen beds.

We did it- 6 year old boy, 18 year old girl, me and hubby. 6 year old stayed on the fold-up bed under the tv and the teen on the couch. I made the couch and tv bed every day to keep the room open. It was plenty of room for us - the two bathroooms help.

Depends on how long your stay is, in my opinion. We've done it once with 3 adults and 1 child and it wasn't bad. Then my adult son came in for one night and it got crowded real fast! Another time my wife and I along with our granddaughter stayed for 4 nights and it was fine. So I'd say for a short stay, yes. A full week, not so much!

Honestly we love Poly for our family of 4. The 2 showers/sinks is nice, the studios are bigger than those at BLT. We stayed 6 nights in January and plan to stay 8 in October. Our boys are 9 and 6. We have zero issues with space, and I have to admit, I wayyyy overpack. We usually have one kid sleep on the fold down bed in the wall and one sleeps on the couch (we don’t even bother to pull it into a sofa bed, just throw the sheets on it and let them sleep). This makes it easy for us to fold up the bed/sheets in the morning to regain full use of the room. I foresee no issues moving forward for our family as the boys age. However, I will say we stayed in a one bedroom at Copper Creek for a night last year and, while amazing and beautifull, did not feel like we needed all that space for our family and would not spend points on it in the future. So, our idea of space might not align with what others feel is spacious.

If your family copes well with a standard hotel room with 2 double beds, the Poly will be fine for you.

I might be different than others because I would not recommend staying more than 2 adults and 1 child in a poly studio, same goes for VGF studio. The space is quickly feeling cramped and with the pullout bed in use the floor space is limited.

To me having room to wriggle my ears is equally as important as everything else. IMO there is a reason why some of the other timeshare companies only allow 2 persons in a studio.

If I only had to stay in a studio for 1 night, I would have no problem being 4 or 5 persons.

I'd recommend that with most saying you should be ok that you try it out, maybe the space is okey and works for you, if not then you know what you shouldn't do next time.

We stayed there with 5 people, two years ago. Youngest was 14 at the time and used the Murphy bed. We really enjoyed it. We were there for 3 nights. It did get a little crowded and we ended up having to put the luggage in the nook where the connecting door was. It was a little tight, coming from OKW in the 2nd part of a split stay. For a couple of days it was OK, and we really enjoyed just being at the Polynesian. Not sure if we'd do it again to be honest, unless we had enough points for two studios, especially as the youngest is almost an adult now. :)

The POLY is one of the best studios for 4 people I think. There is the bigger bed for mom and dad. Then a sleeper sofa and the murphy bed. Also the bathrooms are set up so there is a sink and shower in one room and a totally different bathroom with a toilet, sink and tub/shower combo. These are spacious studios! I say you will be 100 % fine!

It’s great. We went with an 11 and 7 yo. They swapped Murphy for couch each night. Having the extra shower (and sink) was fantastic. It felt crowded when the couch was out as a bed because of the chest/table thing, but it was ok.

Loved the room, location, and balcony. We don’t really cook, so the microwave was good enough for us to reheat or pop in breakfast sandwiches.

Poly studios are the largest of all DVC resorts hut much of the extra space goes into the extra bathroom. The living space didn't feel larger than other resorts.
Saying that, I've been with two people in a Japanese business hotel room that could fit whole into the poly bathrooms and made it work, Poly studio is a palace in comparison. So it mostly comes down to your preference and habits

If the Murphy is the same size as the others, they are 63” long, which is it height. I’m hardly child sized and I would be perfectly comfy on it. My son was as tall as me and slept just fine on it.

We are about to have 5 in one!! 2 adults, ladies, myself and my cousin and 3 kids.. 13, 10 and 6! I know it will be tight but its 4 nights and super excited as none of us have ever stayed at the poly or at a monorail resort.. spending first 2 nights at BRV!
