OK! On 10/1 we took the tour with another family with 2 children, I'm guessing about 6 and 9 (I know the Mom posts here and her name was Heather. Hi, Heather!!) and an older couple.
It was a lot of fun! The CM was Hope and she was a scream. Mickey had told her that she needed to cancel our tour (of garbage cans - pretty funny!) in order to find a group of people who could work together to help save the MK! Then she gave us a story about Malificent casting a bad spell that would make all the Disney stories end badly. She asked all the kids what their favorite Disney movie was, and then we talked about how they would end if Malificent had her way. Sid would keep Woody and Buzz and destroy them, Hopper and the grasshoppers would eat all the food and the ants would starve, etc. She then asked us if *we* would be willing to help - of course we would. We learned the magic words - Together Everyone Achieves Magic - and we were off, after a healthy sprinkling of *Mickey Dust*, aka mickey confetti.
She had a book with rhyming clues and we went from place to place in the park - barking like a dog, singing Happy Birthday, mooing, flying like Buzz Lightyear - all kinds of silly stuff. We had to find the heart with pawprints in front of Tony's, a hidden Mickey on a manhole cover, Aurora's garden (the Rose Garden because she is Briar Rose), etc., etc. Our favorite one was sneaking into Cosmic Rays, right up to Sonny, crouching in front of his stage, then all jumping up and shouting "Hey, Sonny!" and running out the door as fast as possible!
Eventually we came to this roped off area near Liberty Square and who should appear but Peter Pan and Wendy! They had a box that they had dug up and in it we found two spells - the wicked one and a good one. Hope read them aloud, Wendy was frightened, we said the magic word and amazing! The wicked spell was gone!
Then we had a nice time with Peter Pan and Wendy, taking pictures and getting autographs. After that we all played follow the leader (Peter was the leader, of course!) and headed over (in a loud, silly way!) to Philharmagic. We waited a few minutes and played a game together, then we went into the lobby of the Philharmagic show where we waited a few more minutes while Wendy told us a story. We sat together in the front row, which thrilled my kids! Afterwards, Peter gave us all a Magical Moment certificate which he and Wendy had signed, and it was all over.
I had read the reviews over at allearsnet so I knew what sort of thing to expect, but not what bad thing we would be fighting and who we would meet at the end!
I hope this review helps you decide if your kids would enjoy it! My 5yo is convinced that we saved everything with our good spell (which actually concerns me a bit!!), my 7yo sat next to Wendy and just loves her now and my older girls felt smug, doing something exclusive! My husband and I just had fun
