We did this tour last Thursday. My DS (age 8) had done it 2 years ago and really wanted to do it again. The highlight was at the end of the tour when Peter Pan and Wendy surprised us and spent a great deal of time talking to the children. They then led them through part of the park (playing "Follow the Leader) to "It's a Small World" and rode with the children. My son is still talking about it. I would have paid $25 each just for the outstanding character interaction and skipped the tour.

We're doing the "Family Magic" tour on our next trip. From reviews I read, it sounded like Peter Pan no longer was at the end of the tour.

It's great to hear you met Peter! Maybe it's just during the busy season he's at the end of the tour.

I hope he's at the end of our tour, but I'm not getting my hopes up just in case :( !

Thanks for the reveiw!!

Thanks for your review!! We are doing this for my DD's 5th Birthday in Nov. We also have a DD who is 8 and I was a little worried she may not be "into" this. Did your 8 year old like the rest of the tour? Were there any other families on the tour with you? Did your son get to pick the ride at the end of the Tour?

Im also glad to hear about Peter and Wendy. They are my DD's favorites and Im going into this thinking if they are there it will be a bonus!

Thanks
Noodles

There were a number of "older" children on the tour along with my son (8-11). They halfway participated in the stuff. I think for our tour part of the problem was there was a very big family group with us of 8 people only 2 of whom were children. The others were teenagers and adults. So with them making up close to 1/2 the group it was hard for the rest of us to get into the spirit because most of them didn't.

That being said my DS did enjoy the tour.

We did not get to pick the ride. The first time we did the tour there were only 6 of us so we did the Peter Pan ride. With 8 kids on this tour the best one to accommodate all of us was "It's a Small World".

(one cute thing. During the ride Peter write a note on a piece of bark and we all had to pass it quietly to each other without Wendy seeing it (it said "Wendy is stinky")

That is great that you had Wendy AND Peter. We took the tour about 2 weeks ago w/ DS 6 and DD 5. We just had Wendy, my DS liked it but my DD LOVED it. we have the best pictures of her holding hands w/ Wendy walking through MK and sitting next to Wendy on Small World.

Your right, it is worth the $ just for the personal character interaction at the end.
