Family Guy

My kids do it all the time, too. That and "Peanut Butter Jelly Time..."

We don't censor in our house...so if Dh and I are watching it, the kids can watch, too. If they have questions...I answer them honestly.

They sing that song too

Personally I don't have any problems with family Guy or Southpark but I also don't think anything is off limits when it comes to humor. JMO and I take a lot of stick for it here at times.

I'm not sure how often you watch the show but Stewie is basically a closeted homosexual adult who is portrayed as a baby on the show in the same way Brian is an alcoholic liberal intellectual portrayed as a dog.

:thumbsup2

Future Stewie: That's never happened to me before.
Girlfriend: What, the 8 seconds of sex or the 40 minutes of crying?
Future Stewie: Both
:rotfl:

I enjoyed almost every episode except for the one with Brian and Stewie locked in a bank vault....it was disturbing on so many levels

I'm sorry, I just don't find Stewie trying to get Brian to have sex with him or that disgusting old pedoman down the street amusing at all. It scares me that people laugh at it.

you know what was one of the most wonderful inventions of the last 100 years?

The remote control!!

It's a wonderful thing that if you find something offensive on TV you can just change the channel! I mean there are many shows I find offensive (American Idol anyone?) and I just don't watch them. Thats the greatest thing about America, we have the choice (to some extent, don't get me started on all the wonderful shows that have been canceled by some moron TV exec, so that they can replace it with some mind numbing reality c**p) of what we want to watch on TV.

BTW, I didn't like Family Guy at first, thought it was stupid, but after watching my DH laugh at it, I gave it a chance and now I mostly like it.

I always seem to find episodes with just Brian and Stewie more enjoyable then eps of the whole family. Peter's histarical when drunk and at running with his pants down screaming he got raped (Prostate episode).

I don't like family guy and I don't watch it, but there is one clip that I think is hilarious and it gets quoted ALL the time! The episode is "Meals on Wheels" and the quote is the M.C Escher rap, "Going up the stairs. Going down the stairs. Going up the stairs. Going down the stairs. Going up the sideways stairs!"

I sing that to myself every time I see the drawing Relativity.

LOL, I hope nothing is flame worthy on this thread! That seems like too much investment in a cartoon.

DH and I absolutely love Family Guy, and quote it all the time! Yes, it is vulgar and rude at times, and completely inappropriate for kids, but it is a cartoon for adults. We haven't been as impressed with some of the more recent episodes, though; it kind of seems that Seth MacFarlane is trying a little too hard to be provocative. But, we love the older ones in syndication, and the Star Wars trilogy parody is brilliant!

I also love Brian when he acts like a dog...:lmao:

Agreed! My husband and I both hated FG at first and now it has sort of grown on us:rolleyes1. We also like American Dad too:rolleyes1

I have a love/hate relationship with Family Guy. Some of the writing on the show is pure genius. It is definitely vulgar and pushes the lines. Guilty pleasure....you know it's wrong, but it's funny.

There are some episodes where I've done nothing but laugh the entire time and others where I've turned it off because it went to far for my personal taste.

Exactly :thumbsup2

American Dad has really hit its stride! We love it. Roger is hysterical.
