Family fun stop on I-10 near Tallahassee or before 75

Looking for a fun place to stop around Tallahassee. Was originally looking for somewhere like Dave and Busters, but I don't see anything like that around the area. It does not specifically need to be Tallahassee but definitely before we hit 75.

Hoping someone lives off I-10 around this area and has an idea. We need to get out of the car and do something besides just sit down and eat.

Sorry, but there is nothing fun in Tallahassee or between Tallahassee and Lake City. Depending on how much of a hurry you are in, south of Tallahassee is a place called Wakulla Springs where they have glass bottom boat rides and tons of alligators. You'd have to leave I-10 at Tallahassee to get to it though and then SR 267 and US 98 to Perry when you're finished. From Perry it's all 4-lane divided highways to Ocala where you'd join I-75.

Well, I guess it depends on your family's likes and how much time you have.

Tallahassee has four exits off I-10. The second exit (exit 199) will be on North Monroe St. Taking that South, you will find the Tallahassee Mall a couple miles down on your left.

The third exit is in Killearn. If you exit and head North a mile or so you will come to McClay gardens, which was an old plantation (I think). Now, it is a state park area with walking paths and... well, plants .

These would be interesting places to spend a couple hours off the road, if you are so inclined. Of course, you could visit the state capitol building or Florida State University. Just get off N. Monroe St and head South until you hit the capitol. before that, just turn right on Tennessee St and you'll be at FSU. It doesn't take long to get there from the interstate.
