Does anyone have any information on the Family Fun Day Parade? :confused3 I have never heard of it before. I read about it on the Steve Soares Website. It says guests join in? Thanks for your help!! :thumbsup2

I saw the end of the parade when I was at MNSSHP back in October, but I don't know a lot about it. Here are some pics I took!

Can't say for certain -- but I think it is basically standing and waiting at a sign/location, get quick training, and marching down Main St, waving flags, with some characters and the vehicle in the photo. I don't even recall what time of day we saw it.

Thanks for your quick replys! (and pictures! They are great!) I just thought maybe my DS who is 7 would really enjoy marching in this. They list the times it is supposed to take place! We'll have to try it! We leave Monday! :cool1: :cool1:

We were in the Family fun parade a few weeks ago! It was myself ,DH and my 3 girls..we were in Daisy's group and had a routine to do with pompoms..lol it was a lot of fun..my girls felt so special!

We did this on Dec. 4. I think the parade was at 12:45 - we did it right after lunch at the Plaza. There is a popcorn cart on the right as you approach the hub, and there is a sign that says to line up for the parade. The CMs give you a sticker as they count people who are participating, then divide you into different groups. We were in the very front, right behind the lead car. Horace Horsecollar marched with us. We had little flag penants to wave. You march from the hub to the flag pole, sing "Yankee Doodle" at the flag pole, and that's the end. It was a lot of fun - DS10 enjoyed it.

This is done a couple times of day. I was also there on Dec. 4th and just in the time i was walking around main street, i heard them gathering people for 2 different parade times. It's a cute little parade and the crowds line up to watch it so it's kind of neat to say you marched in a parade down main street USA!

We were in this on Dec 4/06 for the 4pm parade. You are approached by a cast member. My DH is hoping that no evidence will surface of this eventhough we had a blast! Our part in the parade was doing a tamborine routine that they taught us just before the parade started.I was so proud man can my man keep a beat on the tamborine. We have be calling him tamborine man ever since. He said all he could think was that some where out there, there is evidence of the this on some one's home video. :rotfl: If you get a chance though, definately accept the offer to be in it. It is great fun!

Thanks for all the information, we are going to try to catch it! It sound really fun. One question though were is the hub? I want to get in mind where we should be so I don't miss it! Thanks so much! We leave tomorrow, I should be packing!!!!

the HUB is the area in front of the castle, right around the parners statue (of walt and mickey). As you are facing the castle, you will see a popcorn stand to your right, on the sidewalk. That is the area where the parade guests form.

This sounds neat. Does anyone know if this is a temporary thing or will they be doing it next Sept too?
