Family Friendly "eats" in Williamsburg VA?

Thanks for all of the great suggestions! We'll have to pick and choose. Since I posted this, my DH lost his job.:sad2: We are still going to W'bg, because the hotel was paid for before he became unemployed, and because we just need some fun in our lives right now. But our budget trip became even MORE budget, so we'll have to be more creative with our meals and restaurant choices.

Bumping this up since we're going in April.

I did hear about a chinese restaurant buffet that is supposed to be great for about $10 a person. I believe it is called the Peking Buffet.

Any other suggestions?:)

This is the best chinese buffet ever!!! My sister lives in glouster,va and when ever we visit we try and go.Its also very buget friendley.

Also, try RED HOT AND BLUE, very good bbq.

It's a college town. There are a lot of little pizza and deli places. I would ask locals around town. I love the Old Chickahominy House out the road to Jamestown. They have breakfast and lunch. I always have to go to Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que...is'a definitely a local place.
I'm sure you will find great choices at all budgets. Things have really grown up around Williamsburg. I love it there.

Guiseppe's only gets so-so reviews on Tripadvisor???

I have heard Sal's recommended for Italian.
It looks to be very family friendly.

I am curious to try Maurizio's - Maurizio himself is the Italian chef that runs this place. I don't see very many reviews, but the ones that I see are excellent. This place seems to be a bit more nicer/upscale... So, it depends on what what you are looking for. I think it sounds great.

Tons of pancake houses for the AM.

I will second Capt. Georges. We also enjoy Red, Hot and blue. Good Bbq, and close to the Yankee Candle outlet
Five Guys is good too. We have them in MD, so I didn't think of them

In the park, the portions of food really big. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

I second Red Hot and Blue. I must say having been to Williamsburg twice I was disappointed in the restaurant choies. One place I can tell you NOT to go is the Jefferson. Worst meal I have ever had hands down and my parents used to take us cross country and I ate in every small town greasy spoon in just about every town in the Pacific US and Canada!
