This is more of an etiquette question...

I'm sure the day before and after the wedding, our families will be dining together...around 9-10 of us. Who usually pays? We're covering everything on the wedding day (Dinner at Ohanas, the MVMCP, and all the wedding costs)...but what about the rest of the week? I don't know if we're even going to do a rehearsal dinner because a) there is no rehearsal and b) well, cost.

I want to book some sit down meals and I'm sure both our sides will say "oh we'll join!" There is no way I can cover meals for 10 people all week :scared1:

Why don't you just ask if they would like to join, but make it known that everyone has to pay for themselves? Nothing wrong with doing that... there's no reason anyone has to pay for meals the entire wedding week!

Hi - Perhaps you can make up a schedule of places you plan to dine and provide it to your guests....but be sure to include the per person costs of each meal (either the exact for buffets or make an estimated range for places where its a la carte).

Hypothetically, you can say "On Wednesday, we plan to dine at Hollywood and Vine for dinner. The dinner buffet is $31 pp and park admission is required because this restaurant is located within Hollywood Studios."

You could also ask people to let you know in advance which meals they plan on attending with you because you will probably need to make ADRs.

Hope this helps!
good luck

I think the suggestions already mentioned are perfect. My DF's parents offered to pay for the rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding, which we're calling a "welcome dinner" because we don't have anything to rehearse either! So now it's more of a dinner to welcome everyone to Florida who made the long trip. But other than that, we are having dinner with family throughout the week at different fun locations and we figure everyone will pay for their own meals :thumbsup2
