Family Camping Groups

Are any of you members of camping groups? I'd be interested in hearing about your experiences and if you recommend these groups.

I think it would be cool to bust out the bandanas and leather jackets, not shower for a week, rumble through the town with a gang of other campers, terrorize the townsfolk.... Sorry, watched Wild Hogs tonight.

We were members of our local Jayco camping group. We met some very nice people and had some good food and fun. Unfortunately time got in the way and we haven't been out with them for a long while.

That sounds like the kids I work with,,and thats just at the doughnut shop !

Hubby and I belong to Family Campers and RV'ers. We have chapters in the US and Canada, all age brackets, all types of camping rigs, from huge Diesel pushers to tents. We have enjoyed our experiences with them. We cannot imagine ever NOT being a member. If you want more information, just let me know. I'm glad you posted this. I had no idea there was such a thing. DH and I really want camping friends with families but none of ou current friends camp or the ones who do, don't have families so we are into two different types of camping. Off to goggle family campers and rvers!

I hope that those of you who were interested did Google FCRV (Family Campers and RV'ers) and were able to find out more information. Hubby and I just had our last camping trip of this season with the state group, it was our Fall Rally, and a good time was had by all. FCRV does a Cadet program, this is where a member of FCRV mentors a new member, your first year is free, you are invited and included in all the events and activities and hopefully, if the fit is right, you will become a permanent member.
