Four of us used the family boat plan at Contemporary this past July and had a blast!

Question: There will be seven of us next July staying ay BCV 2 bedroom. I know it is limited to 5 users, but can the seven of us switch off so that there are not more than 5 at a time using the boats?

thanks!

I don't think so - didn't you have to sign up the individuals who will be using it?

so you couldn't just change places.

Everyone who is listed on the paperwork will receive a wrist band. I was told you can only have 5 people. Annmarie

How much does the boat plan cost? What does it include? I'm particularly interested in waterskiing and waterskiing lessons for the kids. Did you happen to notice how that's arranged or how much it costs? Thanks.

Thanks Maria,

Didn't think of that, that the other two could ride along.

Thanks again.

Does anyone know the age and height requirement for the watermice ????

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. We did this this past August at the Poly when we stayed there a week. All four of us were allowed to drive, but when my brother and his family came to visit we explained and they told us they could ride along with one of us. We also took a pontoon boat with all nine of us for a wonderful ride (and lunch!) around WDW.

Have Fun!!

I know the height requirement is 5 feet tall. I believe the age requirement is 11 or 12. My daughter qualified this summer and she barely made the height requirement at her age of 12.

Kelley...the bike and boat plan does not include waterskiing, or even a boat that's fast enough to waterski. I'm not sure where you could waterski at WDW since the largest lakes seem to be reserved for these boat rentals. Part of Bay Lake is partitioned off with buoys to allow the parasailing, but I don't know if there is waterskiing allowed at WDW, much less taught.

Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre at the Contemporary offers personal watercraft excursions, waterskiing, parasailing and wakeboarding. call 407-939-0754

Children must be 12 years old and at least five feet tall to operate WaterMouse boats, and 18 years old to operate pontoon and canopy boats.

Can they ride with an adult at any age?

Also could you get a 3 yo and n 8 yo on with one adult?

Thanks
Sandy

Just wanted to add I think we paid around $199. It really was worth it for us. My kids used the water mice every day and loved going around Bay Lake and Seven Seas lagoon. It included the water mice and pontoon boats, umlimited use. Hope this helps.

Yes, they can ride with an adult. They will provide life jackets for everyone.

The watermice only allow one passenger along with the driver. So you can't get three on there regardless of size. But the pontoon and canopy boats allow for more passengers on at a time.

And thanks MAGICinMYHEART....I guess they do all those activities in the same restricted area at the back of Bay Lake.

As a note, it has recently been reported that the plan has changed from lenght of stay to a certain number of days (I believe it is 7). :smooth:

Granny

I was sure they had waterskiing but couldn't remember details, then I remembered my PassPorter, I have been going to WDW for over 30 years and I do have quite abit of knowledge but sometimes I don't remember small details (like what time is EWP at Ft. Wilderness) I purchased the PassPorter (first ever guide book) this year and I just love it because of the details.

I too plan on taking advantage of the Family Boat Plan next visit to VWL. This is info I found
