Family and Friends Program??

Thinking about calling Disney today to get info on buying DVC. I have a friend of a friend who owns DVC. What are the benefits of this program and what info do you need? Any help getting me started would be appreciated!!

I believe it ended 01/20/2007 at the close of business.

Instead of $101.00 per point for SSR, it was $86.00 per point, and your friend (if residing in an eligable state) gets a $200.00 referral bonus.

P.S. My guide told me yesterday that the DVC-Guide telephone system was crashing and down part of the last three days, I guess you could call and say you couldn't get through. That *MIGHT* get you the deal, but honestly I doubt it!

On the website it is showing $1500.00 credit if you buy at SSR. Is this the same as the expired program??

I am going to call today.

If anyone can give me any advice on questions to ask the agent etc- please pm me. I would really appreciate any help

There is a 150-point minimum purchase so the $1500 credit works out to a $10/pt discount. Prior to the limited-time F&F $15/pt incentive, the usual discount was $10/pt ($91/pt vs the $101/pt list price) so it sounds like that is what they are advertising.
