My sister thought my brother and his family were coming for CHristmas, he told her that before T-Giving when we all went to HIS house...now I hear it's "up in the air"....I just KNOW my SIL will NOT go to my sister's house for whatever nutty, loony irrational reason she has (there is a loooong story there, she really has issues)....AHHH!!! I'm like neural turf. Maybe I should just hold EVERY holiday.

I'm glad I'm not the only person with a family that likes to shake things up last minute!

My SIL is famous for shaking things up at the last minute. Her most favorite thing to do is to blow off our side of the family completely. I have discussed this with my brother recently after all these years so we will see if there is any kind of an improvement. Although I doubt it will be this Christmas since her entire family is in town for a wedding which will be close to Christmas day.

I understand completely. Long story, short: DH and I live within 5 miles of most of the in-laws. I hostessed both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner last year. I didn't do Thanksgiving this year because we left shortly afterward for WDW. I'm not doing a Christmas dinner because I just had minor surgery and am not up to the shopping and cleaning to prepare, not to mention the slaving away while everyone else has a jolly ol' time. With three houses of in-laws in a 5 mile radius of us, it's amazing how little people want to invite us over at the holidays. Ugh!
