Did you watch FAME last night? Last night was the first time (and probably the last time) that I've ever seen the show. I didn't see the whole show but I thought it was terrible. This guy was on who lied about his age and I thought his act comical, I didn't realize it was serious. He was supposed to be dancing but he was making airplane type movements with his arms running around the stage while singing You can reach me or Get Here (I think is the name). The judges just loved him! I couldn't believe it and wondered if anyone else had seen it too and what you thought.

Yes I watch Fame. You know, I keep expecting more out of it. I just don't see a lot of real vocal talent, and none of the performances have blown me away. And that guy, the Airplane guy I now call him... You know, at first I liked him because he was sincere and you can tell this is his dream come true. But his performances, just ridiculous! He is one of the better singers, but really... We're supposed to see dancing, not a kindergarten school play! i think he's overly dramatic.

I thought it was crap. The singers were horrible, the judges seemed more interested in how they acted, or 'their dresses', and they couldn't even come up with their own catch phrases - "You sang that and made it your own". UGH! Think of something else to say, don't be a Idol wanna be. I didn't like it on Idol and dislike it even more on Fame.

It's the last time I'll watch that show. I'd rather clean.

I liked the first one, but it’s gone downhill from there. I can’t believe they think some of these people are so good. However, the judges are probably afraid to say anything bad since Debbie Allen jumps down their throats when they do! I was livid toward the beginning when each of the judges told one of the performers that she didn’t have the greatest performance that time but had lots of potential, and Debbie says to the person, “Well, I don’t know why THEY don’t see your potential, but I do! And when Carnie Wilson tried to correct her, Debbie said, “it’s MY turn to talk now!”

I posted something about this show last night regarding the judges and the comments. This show even rips off Idol's judging

One judge last night said "You took a Celine song, and pulled it off"

Another judges used the "You took that song and made it your own" speach that Paula gushes out.

And what killed me was that Carnie person telling one girl "I still see you on Broadway""

That was Simon's attempt to pigeon hole Clay into a "non Pop Idol" genre.

By the way - Clay's single is #1 - Go Clay

I don't hate it (that was the best praise I could come up with).

It's helping me through my AI withdrawls. I think a few of the people have some real talent. But remember this show is about singing and dancing. Clay and Ruben are definitely better singers, but they aren't able to dance at all. I'd rather watch AI, but I'll take Fame over cleaning any day.

I caught the end of it when they were doing recaps, and was completely unimpressed. I'm getting my fix watching American Juniors. Cute kids that can sing AND dance! Diana
