FYI everyone: I just received an email from my Disney Rewards Visa that starting tomorrow they are offering discounts at the Disney hotels. 30% off PP and 25% off DLH and DGC. It does say this offer will be available to general population as of 9/13/11. This is for stays between 10/2/11 to 12/24/11.

Hmmmmmm, we are staying Dec 22 - 27. Does that mean I can't even use the discount for the days that it covers, because our travel won't be completed by the 24th? Will have to call and find out.

I have a Disney Visa but don't have an email in my inbox...

Is there a special code to use when booking, or is it just using your VISA number?

I am currently booked in November with Free dining. Can I get a room discount on top of that? Would I have to cancel and re-book reservation?

Also, what does PP, DLH and DCG stand for???

Usually it's one or the other with discounts. You can't use multiple discounts on one ressie.
PP= Paradise Pier
GCH= Grand Calif Hotel
DLH= Disneyland Resort Hotel

So I just called Disneyland ressies & the CM told me that they are supposed to be able to apply the DV discount today, but are having trouble. He said call back tomorrow.! I don't like waiting!

Free dining? Are you staying at WDW, or DL? (I didn't think DL had free dining.)

DLH = Disneyland Hotel
DCG = Grand Californian Hotel

I just called to and was told the same thing. I spoke to Rosa and she was so helpful. She said it just came out today but they haven't been told much about it and they can't book it yet and to call back tomorrow.

She said if a better deal comes out I can always call to see if I can apply the better deal if it's at least 30 days before travel.

She thought this was a good deal, esp. that it goes all the way to check out on Christmas morning.

I'm so excited, I want to book now!!!!

I just called again b/c I wanted to make sure I got the correct info. This CM also said they are having trouble & won't be able to apply the discount til 9/13! She also said I have to book a new ressie & can't apply it to make current ressie.
I am going to call back tomorrow anyway.

Wow, I missed that! Was it a really good deal? Seems like it could save a lot, depending on how many meals it covers.

I called today as well and was told that this only applies if you are also purchasing tickets. So, unless she was misinformed, those with AP's lose out on this discount.

I have a Disney Visa as well - but didn't get the email. Does this apply to new reservations only? We made our reservation in May and have been making payments......does the promotion work if you booked through Disneyland too? Or did I have to book through Disney Visa? Are they the same thing?

There was not a code and you need to book directly with Disneyland. WHen I called they were also having trouble and they are suppose to call me back today once they work it out... they did say that when it opens to the general public next week it can be purchased as room only...

I booked already and got the AP rate, not such a great rate really. I will need to buy a ticket for my sister anyway. I also need to call about a handicapped room. I will ask then. Is there a special name for this rate?

Does anyone know if they'll have a ticket promotion for the fall? We have our tickets but some friends of ours need to buy theirs. I'd hate for them to miss out on discounts if they bought them now and a new promo came out.

I called today on this special, too, and was told that they didn't have a way to apply it yet. It seems to contradict itself, also. One part says "package" and another says "room only". Sooooo.... Susan (whom I talked to) recommended that I go ahead and book at the AP rate, since rooms were filling up, and then call back tomorrow and modify it to the new rate, which will save about $50/night if her calculations were right.

I got an email, so it's weird that the CM's weren't filled in on how to apply the discount! Oh well--tomorrow we'll see! If I can't get the good rate, I'll probably stay somewhere else. We're going in mid-December.
