Fall Park Strategy w/o HHN

I am planning a first-time-to-Universal family trip (DH, DW, DD15, DD13) for October, and am looking for advice on park strategies. The trip will be 5 days either Th-M or Fr-Tu, and we plan to stay at Royal Pacific Resort. I have been looking at either 4 or 5-day 3-Park Park-to-Park tickets. We have no interest in Halloween Horror Nights. WWoHP is a high priority. We'd also like to visit Volcano Bay.

HHN runs most of the days you'll be visiting (except Monday and Tuesday) so either way your time at the Studios will be shortened. On HHN days I would do the Studios first and then move to IOA for the afternoon and evening. Do the opposite when HHN is not being staged. You won't have to worry about too many decorations for HHN around the Studios...they keep the larger props out but everything else is indoors out of view during the day.

You don't need much of a strategy as you have EP........

Look at the website www.universalorlando.com and familiarise yourself with park layouts and such.

Studios will close to non HHN guests at 5pm on nights it's on. Metro has given some good advice there.

Do they have HHN every night except Monday and Tuesdays?

Usually the case once it is the second week in October

This past October Wednesday was added a week later
Could have been due to the way dates lined up
