I've never had a pumpkin spice latte. What's it like? Sort of like a chai?

Yes it is kind of Chai ish tasting I guess with all the spices. It's definitely orange, and I wish they had a sugar free pumpkin syrup. I ask them every year but nope, still not sugar free. They usually put whipped cream on top and only sometimes I indulge in that part of it haha. The one I had today was very 'pumpkinny' so she might have used too much syrup. It still tastes like Fall to me though!

No it's not orange flavored. It's pumkin flavored. It's orange in color, like pumpkin pie orange. Honestly, it's only for those who love pumpkin I think. It's pretty pumkinny.

Ah, yes, fall is in the air, and so are many an allergy! not to mention, sneezing and runny noses, now exactly where those noses are running to, not sure yet, for only time will tell! he he ~! pass me a Kleenex please, and thank you, no, not that Kleenex, I prefer the type that has lotion in it, ah so nice and soft, like a babies booty............ he he! seriously though, I do prefer the lotion type.

Ahh yes I've definitely noticed my allergies kicking in more. I did get my 1st pumpkin spice latte this morning! they had pumpkin scones and loaf too yum. Although it is supposed to be 100 today and tomorrow UGH. When will it end haha.

Speaking of all this Fall and Halloween stuff, does anyone know if the Disney Stores in the malls have Halloween themed items out yet, or if they will?

I love Bath and Body. I usually only buy hand soaps though....and just when they are on sale (which is often.) I was there a month or so ago and bought a bunch of foamy soaps. Any idea if they have fall scents in those?

Pumpkin Spice Latter

Gibson Girl Ice Cream is supposed to have: Pumpkin Sprinkle and Chocolate Dipped Waffle Cones

Plaza Inn: Sliced Pumpkin Pie

French Market: Death by chocolate in a souvenir bowl (not sure what that is) and Jack Skellington in the Box Ganache

Big Thunder Ranch will have spooky cookie decorating.

Outdoor vendors will have Halloween pumpkin buckets and the hot mugs.

Also I thought I read there will be hot cider somewhere. I cannot wait to try all the goodies. We aren't doing too many sit down meals. Just lots of snacking!! LOL


As for Bath and Body, I usually just get the Fall scents in their sprays or lotions. Sometimes the body wash. I've never really tried their soaps so I'm not sure.
Good excuse to go check it out. LOL

I too love all the smells of fall. And those pumpkin muffins at Blue Ribbon are the BOMB!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. You guys are killing me. I have to have a test done on Friday and I have to have a clear liquid diet starting tomorrow and then NOTHING Friday until the test so I am salivating reading this thread. It is going to be a LONG day tomorrow just having boulion and jello! LOL.

I can tell you though as SOON as that test is over I am getting me one of those lattes!

I haven't been to our mall that has the Disney store as it is a ways from our house but I know on the Disney store website they have all their halloween stuff so I would guess the stores in the malls probably have their stuff. I know our local mall is supposedly moving so I hope it isn't closed up shop. I have to get over there soon!

Oh and with regard to the weather, here in Sac the weather can go either way. Oct can be hot OR cool. Usually on Halloween it can be hot during the day but the kids have to wear a sweater to trick or treat. But it is going to be REALLY weird going to Florida during the holidays if it is hot because with all the CHristmas stuff it will be weird. Even DL is usually cool that time of year.

I'm going to be checking the weather religiously before our October trip. I'm hoping it's on the cool side. I can remember some really HOT Octobers in CA and I do not want it hot on our trip!!
Last December when we were there it was downright cold. We had hats, gloves, the works. But I loved it. Made it feel even more Christmasy.

Thanks for the info on the Disney store. I guess I'll have to go look and see what they have next time I'm near the mall.

So far I only have a couple things.

I bought this wreath but it might be too fat to hang between my door and storm door.

I bought this to put out front by the path to our front door.

I haven't put anything up yet (except the centerpiece because it already goes with the colors in our living/dining room.) We built this house and just moved in at the end of June so I'm just so excited to have a house to decorate finally! We were in apartments before. And I was in college before that. And then my parents house before that. So this is pretty exciting for me. I'm thinking about getting some Fall garland stuff and wrapping it around our railing that goes upstairs. Would that be cute or lame?

If I'm think excited about Fall decorations, I know I'm going to go nuts around Christmas...haha.

I'd love to put a cute Fall flag up outside but my husband wants to put up a USC flag for football season. I'm sure all the Husker fans will just love that! (We're in Nebraska.)

I have some pics that I posted in my PTR (lots of Fall/Halloween references in it) that I thought I'd also share here.
These are from Disneyland:

This was our back yard when we lived in Northern MI. The picture was taken from my back steps. I miss it!

This is a really washed out, grainy picture, but it shows the wild turkeys that always used to roam through our back yard. We had wild turkeys, deer, rabbits, field mice (yuck), lots of birds, skunks, and foxes that we'd spot in the yard now and then.

These are pics of a really cool bridge that was about 5-8 minutes from the house.
And beneath that is a pic of an elk that we used to pass all the time. Get a load of those antlers!!

And here are some pics of my twins in their Halloween costumes in October of 2005, if I recall correctly. I love all the trees and fallen leaves.

I'm thinking about getting some Fall garland stuff and wrapping it around our railing that goes upstairs. Would that be cute or lame?

Congrats on the new house!! How exciting to be able to decorate it. And I think some garland on the railing would be pretty.
