Fall-ing for Stormalong Bay - A BC PTR for Fall 2012

I have never done WDW alone so I can't speak from experience but knowing the kind of person that I am if I had the chance to go and couldn't find anyone to go with me (will probably never happen with my crazy D family) I would for sure go. Just being there and soaking in the atmosphere would be company enough for me. Whatever decision you make, solo or not I know you will have a great time...... :thumbsup2

Yes, for sure! I did find out some more information today, and I'm excited to share it now.

1) It LOOKS like I am extending my vacation! Yay!

And...

2) It LOOKS like I will have company for some of my trip. I talked with my mom today and she may come with me for four nights!

So, here's what we were thinking: we go down on Saturday (both of us) and go straight to the BC. She stays with me until Wednesday night, and then I stay on until Friday as previously planned. That way, we get a trip together AND I get a bit of a solo trip! Mom loves WDW, so I really want her to go with me.

However, a bit of a quandary. With the extra night and how much BC costs, I don't think I could swing the whole thing at BC if we're staying extra time. I may be kind of going all-out, but I DO still have a budget. She said she would pay for one night, the extra night, at a value so that she was contributing some, but then that would put us in a value on the 1st night and put me in (hopefully) AoA on the last night. I don't want to do three resorts; too much moving! Also, I don't want to try to transfer groceries on the second day to BC. I'd rather just start there.

Any ideas? I wish I could like, rent points at BLT or something in a studio on my first solo night so at least I'd be within walking distance to a park - I don't want to do my two solo nights at a value, but it's looking like that might end up happening.

I don't know. Maybe if I could get a great deal on a value and scrap my Epcot Segway tour, I could do that extra night at BC. But then I think a little more on the budget....

So glad to hear that your mom will be coming with you for a few days.

Me too. :) My mom is the best. Your trip is coming up soon - you must be so excited!! I would LOVE to have two weeks to go back to Germany - but last time I checked, airfare only for ONE person was more than the cost of my entire Disney vacation!! I hope to go back in the next two years or so.

Mmm, that is a bit of a dilemma there. I understand not wanting to switch resorts a bunch of time. I would be okay with switching once throughout the trip, but I'm not sure how I would feel about switching more than that.

However, I would love to see AoA myself, so if I had the choice, I might make that an option.
