Fall Free Dining for Disney Visa Card Holders?

Has anyone heard any rumors about whether they'll be offering free dining this fall to Disney Visa card holders? We had originally booked last March for the Fall of 2012 with free dining for card holders, but had to change our reservation to this fall. I called Disney this afternoon to confirm our ressie and the CM said that there weren't any promos going on yet.

When she gave me the total for our trip, I just about !!!! Our last trip in 2009 we had 30% off so that was sticker shock!

Hoping for FD, especially since our kids will be over 10 for this trip! Just wondering if anyone had heard anything...

Thanks for the info! We are staying at WL, so hopefully we'll qualify if it's offered. It's stinks that it would just be QS, but I guess some discount is better than no discount, right????

I think it would be hilarious to book someone at a moderate or deluxe and offer quick service only. Seems a serious disconnect to me.

They will probably offer to pay to upgrade. That's the idea, get more $$$.

Moderate makes more sense, they have decent food courts. Deluxe is a slap in the face, a % discount is probably better.

I'll believe that when I see it. What's going to happen to those thousands of value resort rooms they need to fill during the fall value season if they don't offer free dining on those rooms? That would be crazy. I doubt Disney is going to shoot themselves in the foot like that. They might offer quick service free dining to all resort levels, but completely locking the values out of that discount seems highly unlikely.

I am sincerely hoping not at all, but I keep reading and hearing that Disney is trying to "wean" everyone off of FD altogether and this is just one of the steps in that...We are going Sept 8-14 and I'm already anticipating upgrading and paying more for regular dining! Here's to hoping!
