Least for the first week. I tried to book one and cant at CBR, i tried the following week as well, sold out. I wanted to stay at CBR very badly. Booked MOVIES Value instead. Saved alot of cash actually but still. If they open this up again, and i believe they will does disney have a list i can get on that will upgrade me to CBR should sometihng open up? Guess i'll call, lol.

You have to continue to check availability. Disney does not need to maintain a "to call" list to fill rooms.

Really, seriously, they dont need a call list to book rooms? Wow. Thanks for that information, i would have never thought of such a thing.

How about a courtesy list ...where if 10 families back out for whatever reason, they give someone say, like ME, who wants to upgrade first shot.......... ya know? Does that make alittle more sense to you?
Dont be so condescending, most people are as smart or smarter than you, with common sense as well.

wow. seriously your comment should be on some sort of, "dumb things people say" list...................

Sorry Howie but advice was spot on. Disney is NOT going to maintain lists of people who may want to upgrade or move to another resort. There are cancellations and people moving daily. Disney isn't going to hire staff to make phone calls from wish lists on a daily basis. No way.

All i was doing was informing the people that moderate resorts are SOLD OUT for this Free dinning this fall .......... and i get some condenscending comment about how disney doesnt need a list to book rooms. Thats the biggest captain obvious moment/comment if ever there was one.

then the next guy says, sorry, advice was spot on. What advice? Common sense is seriously evaporating in this sick society.:3dglasses

The person who respomded to your original post was correct and succinct, NOT condescending. Sarcasm and belittling the poster was unnecessary and is frowned upon. Since you appear to be new to the boards, you'll probably be cut a little slack for this lapse. A very little slack. We are always happy to answer questions. Sorry if you didn't get the answer that you wanted.

If you would like to receive courteous answers may I suggest that you also deliver courteous responses??

And finally, to answer both of your questions: no. Disney does not maintain any of these types of lists. They do not need to. If you want a change of resort, room type, dates etc, then you need to check back periodically to see if anything has opened up.

Absolutely. If you had a staff as large as Disney does at CRO, would you pick up the phone that is ringing with someone ready to book, or chase down someone who may or may not want to upgrade or rebook. They are going to answer the current incoming call.

I am quite confident that you will be receiving a visit by a mod very shortly. Don't know right now if you are a troll or just decided to be obnoxious for fun.
Did you or did you not ask a question at the end of your OP regarding the existence of a list? And did you or did you not receive an answer to this question? So what's with the vitriol??

Did u call and try to make a reservation? Because there has been a glitch with reserving the moderates online. Somebody posted they were trying to fix it. It has been posted on the Discount forum.

I decided to make a choice as to which post I would respond to.....so here goes;

Thank you, Minnie Mum. I never dreamed that providing a factual response to a question would illicit such a response.

From time to time, this happens when you provide short and easy answers. Another old timer, like me, said we prefer to be able to respond to as many people as possible.

No, you weren't just informing people that moderates were sold out. YOU asked the question: Does Disney have a list that I can get on that will upgrade me to CBR should something open up? People simply answered the question that YOU asked. What's hilarious is that you have the nerve to say that their answer wasn't helpful but that their comment that Disney doesn't need a list to book rooms was the biggest captain obvious comment if there was one. If the answer was so obvious, why did you ask the question? Seems to me that you're the one off base. If you don't want people to respond to YOUR questions, don't ask. There are so many wonderful people on these boards that provide tons of helpful information to make others' trips better. Please don't ruin that joy by being rude to people.

Question the OP asked has been answered.. We're done here.

To that very question - no, Disney does not maintain ANY waiting lists for resorts, room categories etc. They just don't. It might be a great suggestion for them, but given their room reservations computer systems date to the late 80's (no kidding) ... its highly unlikely they'll undertake that kind of thing of actively calling people on a waiting list.

And finally, the moderates may be sold out currently for selected dates, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are completely sold out for all dates.. nor does it mean that availability may not change in the days and weeks ahead.

It's ALWAYS worth calling back at weekly intervals to see if you can change to get the resort/room category/vacation you're hoping for ..

Thanks,

Knox
