They're out now. I can book Delta (and many other airlines) through December 13 right now.

A different airline? Southwest will release through October 4 on February 9.

And what do you consider "fall"?

Southwest from Detroit (DTW) only goes to August 14 and Delta prices right now are at $655(2 people R.T. not bad), hoping for less, due to driving over an hour to get there, then parking off site for 14 days can add up.And if the flight time changes to early morning departure, then I have to pay from overnight hotel stay(more money$$)
Hoping Allegiant (out of FNT - closer to me) comes out soon.

Fall times - any date mid August to end of October, maybe 1st week in November.

JetBlue's currently booking out to Dec 13th. In years past you'd have to wait until the first week of February to be booking fall flights, so they're ahead of the game this year.

I've never found Jetblue to be great on price or flight times leaving to and from Detroit. Or my dates have no luck with them. And they don't fly out on FNT.

It seems like flights out of Michigan this year is going to be a pain in my wallet

Yeah Jetblue Dtw to Mco on my dates $896 2 People R.T. . Too much $$ for me.

$330pp RT on Delta isn't terrible. Not great, but not terrible.

Yeah, Delta not bad but add in offsite parking for my dates and that runs $133 not counting that if my flight changes (which it does with Delta a lot) I'd have an early morning flight that means a hotel stay added in. So now I'm spending more money $$$

Not just this year, they changed their release schedule a couple of years ago to help bookings rebound when people were just beginning to start traveling again after the lockdowns. I remember when release day used to be a big deal.
