Was just doing a little research, and the fall fantasy package looks like a pretty good deal. Does anyone know what the cost of getting a fall fantasy package for 4 days versus just booking a hotel reservation thru CRO and buying 4 day hopper passes seperately? I know the fall fantasy comes with "length of stay" passes, and was curious if that actually makes it more expensive.(my wife and I aren't interested in the water parks or pleasure island this time around, so we wouldn't have to get the length of stay Ultimate hopper)
In addition, can you book a fall fantasy package yourself thru WDTC, or does it HAVE to go thru a travel agent?

I tried doing a search on this subject in case someone has asked similar questions recently, and it kept timing out. My apologies if this question's been asked a million times.

Many, many thanks in advance for the help.

If you are planning to stay at the All Stars, the cost is about identical, but you are getting Ultimate Hopper Passes (which have added value in some circumstances), a pin and luggage tags with the package.

For instance, a Fall Fantasy package for two adults staying at All Stars for 3 nights, including Ultimate Hopper passes, costs $650 plus tax.

3 nights at All Stars, rack rate = $258.72 incl tax
2 adult 4-Day Park Hoppers at full price = $407.04 incl. tax
Total = $665.76

However, the savings can be significant when you are booking the more expensive hotels.

For example, a Fall Fantasy package with the daily breakfast option for a family of family of four (two adults, two kids ages 9 & 13) staying in a standard room at the Beach Club for five nights in late August costs $2476.46 including tax.

5 nights at Beach Club, rack rate = $1603.95 incl tax
3 adult, 1 child 6-Day Park Hopper Plus - $1116.26 incl tax
daily Character breakfast for family of 4 = $350 (estimate)

Total = $3070.21 incl tax

So you would save a substantial amount, AND you would get Ultimate Hopper Passes, which for some people are very worthwhile.

In short, you really have to sit down and figure it all out for your individual circumstances. I have all of the hotel rates and ticket prices on my site, if you need those to work it out.

You can book Fall Fantasy packages yourself if you wish.

In my opinion, if you can get a discounted room yourself w/ a code, it works out cheaper to buy the room and passes seperately. Plus: the park hopper tickets don't expire, as the length of stay passes expire at the end of you stay!

All in all, I checked the fall fantsasy rates for my aug trip to beach club versus booking seperately and the price came out to be about $100 more w/ the package. (But I had a great discount rate at BC). If you can't book a discounted room, then the package may be the only way to go sometimes!

Good luck

However, we don't buy ultimate park hopper passes because we don't find that we use the water parks, etc..

I priced my vacation out both ways and Fall Fantasy came out cheaper for us (2 adults - no kids). We are staying at YC waterview for 5 nights for $1650 tax included. When I priced it out separately (room with a discount code & 6 day hoppers), it was more expensive. We don't have the breakfast option though since we'll eat a light breakfast in the room each morning.

I would submit a price quote through Dreams Unlimited for the Fall Fantasy and go from there.......
