Hey everyone! It's now officially less than 100 days away that the applications for Fall 2012 should be coming available! I know there was another thread about Fall 2012, but I haven't seen many people writing on it in a while so I thought I would make a new one!

My name is Michaela and I am planning on applying for the Fall 2012 DCP! I don't know anyone else who is applying, so I am wanting to get to know others who are planning on applying as well! A little about myself...

I am currently 21, but will be 22 when the program starts. I am majoring in Childhood Education at the University of Arkansas. I have been dying to do the program for years, but because of a previous major I was never able to apply. Now that I have switched to Childhood Ed. I am able to take a semester off and I couldn't be more excited! My top roles are Attractions, BBB, Merchandise, and Vacation Planner. I'm also thinking Hospitality, but I haven't quite decided yet.

I wish everyone planning to apply for Fall or FA 2012 the best of luck and I hope to meet you all some day!

EEEEEEEEEK! You just made me so excited! I didn't realize that we were under the 100 day mark!

I'm Emily, and I'll also be applying for Fall 2012! I'm 19 and I'll turn 20 during the program. I'm from the suburbs of NYC, and I go to school in upstate New York. I'm an English/writing major and a theatre minor and I want to go into entertainment production... so why not do an internship with the most incredible entertainment company in the world? :) I am SO insanely excited about it, and I want to get started with the application process NOW. I'll probably apply for BBB, Character Attendant, Attractions, and Merch... and I might go to the character performer auditions just to check it out.

Anyway, I hope we have an awesome group! Can't wait to start getting to know everyone!

I'm planning on applying to Fall 2012! My name is Justine and I'm majoring in nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Because of my major and not planning far enough ahead for the DCP (I didn't learn about it until sophomore year!), I wasn't ever able to take a semester off but I'll be graduating at the beginning of next August! It's something I've been really, really wanting to do and my boyfriend and I are planning on moving to Orlando next year anyway because his dream is to go full-time for Disney (he did the Spring 2010 DCP). I'll be 22 for the program and my role choices will probably be BBB (definitely top choice!), attractions, merchandise, or character attendant. The only thing that would stop me from accepting a DCP offer would be getting an Orlando nursing job offer before I graduate (which I'm pretty sure isn't going to happen! haha!) so next fall gives me a perfect chance to have the Disney experience I've been looking forward to while I look for nursing jobs in FL.

Hope more people start responding to this thread. It's time to start getting excited for applications and meeting everyone! :)

How's it going everyone? I'll be applying for Fall 2012 also, if I get in it will be my second program. I'm 19, will turn 20 on the program from Monterey, California. Currently a communications major. My top role choices will more than likely be hospitality, front desk, character attendant and merchandise. Merchandise would be my safety role because that's what I did last program. I'm looking forward to seeing our Fall 2012 group grow!

Welcome to the group! :) I am pretty sure that if I am accepted Merchandise is what I'll get because I have a lot of retail/sales experience. Where did you work and did you like it? What would you say is the worst merchandise location?

I loved merchandise, but mostly cuz of where I worked and where I got deployed. I worked at Goofy's Candy Company at Downtown Disney and absolutely loved it, it's such a unique experience, you get to work with the candy and still technically be merchandise. It's like QSFB without the nastiness. I was also deployed for 2 weeks to the Caramel Shop in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot. I loved it there, and since I was food prep/food handling trained I was able to work there and meet lots of my fellow Germans. Haha.

For the worst place to work, I'd probably go with World of Disney or the Emporium, don't know from first hand experience how they really are but from what I heard big stores meant more work. And who likes lots of work? :P

Hi! I'm Kristen! I'll be applying for Fall 2012 as a recent graduate. I'll be 23! Yikes! I currently go to school in Georgia, and I am majoring in Neuroscience. I think I'm narrowing down my top three to be 1. Merchandise 2. Attractions and 3. Housekeeping, I also don't think I'll mind doing QSFB, Character Attendant, FSFB or MEO.

I am really scared about the web based interview, because I wont be in school to apply again!

Hi everyone, my name is Maria, I'm 21 and I'm a senior communications major at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. I've been wanting to do the program since my freshman year, when I unfortunately had to deny my acceptance to the program, and since then I haven't been able to fit it into my schedule. But I graduate this May, so right after graduation is my last chance for the program so I'm hoping it all works out.
I'll be applying for both WDW & DL, I heard that process changed a bit so we'll see when the time comes. My top choices are Front Desk/Concierge, Guest Relations(DL), PhotoPass, and Merchandise. I'm really excited for the application process to start...school has been keeping me ridiculously busy so I know it will be here real soon.

Hi Everyone!!

My name is Sarah, I'm 21 years old and will be 22 by the time of the program. I am hoping to get into the Fall 2012 program! I have applied twice before, and haven't made it past the web interview  I'm hoping 3rd time's the charm! If anyone knows of any tips or advice for me I would really appreciate it! Or if you know anyone who has had to apply multiple times, and what they did to finally get it, I would love to know useful information like that! I REALLY want to do this program, more than anything!

The roles I am mostly interested in are Merchandise, BBB, and Costuming, but I would honestly be happy with anything. I am looking forward to getting to know some of you better and I know it's early, but I want to wish everyone good luck on their application processes!! :)

Aaah! I am so scared of the web-based interview! I haven't taken it yet, but I have heard all sorts of advice on the forums about being consistent, answering strongly, and making sure to be totally available/flexible. I don't know how much is true or urban legend.

What has the past two experiences taught you? What do you think you did wrong? I know you'll make it this time! Good luck!!!!!

Aww thank you that is so sweet!! I hope I'll make it this time too! For both of them, I didn't really research or prepare that much, so you should be fine, you're already way ahead of where I was! But for the first time, I think I answered more of what I thought they wanted to hear. And for the second time, I sorta whizzed through it, thinking "oh this time I'll get it for sure. No biggie." I answered more honestly and my true opinion, but kind of rushed through it so I think that's where my mistake was. But now I am really going to try to prepare better and ace it! And even then, it's not for sure I pass my phone interview! AHHH so much to worry about! But I'm trying to stay positive :) And I'm sure you'll do fine as well!!

Hello everyone! My name is Hannah and I'm a senior biology major at Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL. We are a work college (every resident student works a specific on-campus job to help off-set some of their tuition costs) and I am General Manager of our Work Program. I am hoping that this leadership experience helps me get into the WDWCP!

My top roles are attractions, photopass, front desk, BBB, and merch. Honestly, I think I would be happy with any role!

I have been coming to Disney my whole life and just spent my 22nd birthday there last week. I am looking to go to grad school in the future but would LOVE to take a short, magic-filled break from school for a bit. :)

I can't wait to get to know everyone!

Am I the only one changing their top three roles about every half hour? I really can't make up my mind. Right now my favorite roles are looking like

1. Custodial
2. Cast Costuming
3. Housekeeping

But sometimes Attractions, Merchandise, Recreation, or MEO sneaks in there too! I feel like everyone else has such a good idea of what they want, and I'm not sure. I'll just tell myself that it's a good thing. This way I'll eventually want to do any role they want to give me!

Hi guys! I'll be applying as well. I'll be 20 during the program and I'm not sure what my top choices will be. Attractions will probably be number 1. So nice to meet others applying for Fall :)

I am also planning on applying for the Fall Advantage program at Disneyland. When exactly does the application come out? And another question, how hard is it to get into the program? I have heard mixed answers from people. Thanks guys!

Hello everyone! My name is Kirstyn and I'm currently 21 (turning 22 in December, so I'll be 22 during the CP). I attend the College of Southern Nevada (Las Vegas) as a Marketing/ Fashion merchandising major. I'm an alumni of the Disneyland program from 2010, and I've never been to Disney World! I'm going to be a campus rep for spring 2012 so that's exciting lol. Anyway, my top 3 choices for roles are:

Merchandise Hostess
BBB
Guest Relations

I can't wait! A fellow CP alumni and friend of mine are going down to do the program together and I'm really anxious to just get there already!! So glad it's now under a 100 days until applications go up lol, I've had a countdown up since June haha! :woohoo:

Hey everyone my name is Princess, I am 22 and I did the program back of fall 2009 and loved it. I will be applying for both the fall advantage 2012 CP as well as the fall professional internship. I can't wait to do the application process all over again.I will be graduating in May of 2012 with a degree in film/video productions. If i get the CP role I would love to do the photopass photography, attractions, or park operations and I hope to be able to work at EPCOT like i did before. You all can friend me on FB and add me to your circle on google plus. :cool1: Good luck to everyone :)
