Fall/Fall Advantage 2008

so i still haven't accepted my offer yet because I was trying to get a hold of my recruiter to ask about my role. I never got a hold of her personally, but i talked to general people from casting and explained the situation. Since i never asked for qsfb and i dont think the person that interviewed me noted that i wanted it as a last resort, and they dont think so either. supposedly i had to be transferred to my recruiters boss and leave him a message for him to call me. (hes to important to answer phones!:lmao:) So now I just have to wait to talk to this guy and find out what happens.

If I can't get anything changed, then I will still do QSFB, but I never imagined i would be going through all of this.

Thanks for listening to my story/rant. :goodvibes

That is wonderful that they are considering your concerns though! Hopefully it will work out, but even if it doesn't you will be happy that you did everything you could!

wohoo!!! I just found out the name of one of my roomies too!!! her name is alicia caldes. ugh my school is pissing me off though!! i had everything set up through one of the intership coordinators, and now my majors person is being a *itch. i showed her what id be doing, and she doesnt want to give me credit!!! she said "it looks like youll be working in blizzard beach" ugh she made me so mad!! i was like um no if you look at the description, (im recreation) I already asked if theyd probably put me in wws and they said yes. grrrrrr!!!!!! im so mad righ tnow, so im fighting her, talkin gto everone i can and if she doesnt want to give me the credits then ill get them from the other internship coordinator!!!grrr. lol. sry little venting going on!!lol.

Sorry your school is being so ornery. I swear sometimes different departments just don't communicate with each other and it screws you over. I had that problem trying to go abroad and getting both the English and History departments to grant me appropriate credits, which they wouldn't because they said I wasn't going on a recognized program and they refused to contact the Study Abroad office about it. What a nightmare! Just hang in there and keep after them, I'm sure you'll get everything sorted out!

hEY so idk if i want to start a Video Blog? Should i?
Yes, you should, because I want to see what one is. I'm assuming a blog with videos, but how do you upload the videos? From your webcam?

yeah and she said that she doesnt know if were gonna be roomies or not because she wants to room with someone she knows.
Odd, why'd she do roomate notification if she already knows who she wants to live with? :confused3

Aww, yay!!! I'm glad something is being done. Good for you for taking on the Mouse! I hope they're able to transfer you to something you'd really love. Best of luck!!

I don't think I will do the roomie notification. I think I will stick with getting a roomie randomly.

i dont understand what roomie notification is. Youre matched with the person you will share a room with but still dont know what complex youll be in or know any of the other people?

That is what I have gathered.

I have a question. My interview was on the 12th, and I faxed and mailed my app n role checklist that day. Today, I wanted to email my Disney support recruiter to ask if that had receive my papers yet. But the business woman that my school has mold me into (I go to a private business university that is VERY professional) wouldn't allow me to send an email just asking about the paper work. It turn into a professional follow up letter thanking her for the interview and highlighting all of the main points we talked about. Do you think that was a good move on my part or a little much for a program that isn't necessarily as professional as most internship programs?

I don't personally think it's necessary, but it can't hurt. I did send a similar follow-up email to my interview partner immediately following the interview. I don't think the interview partners or support recruiters get follow-ups very often (and by no means are they necessary, I was accepted the first go around without it), but it's a nice gesture if you have the opportunity.

Having said that, if all you want to do is to confirm the receipt of your paperwork, call casting at 1-800-722-2930, option one, one again, then option two. You'll be connected to a casting associate that can confirm if they have received everything they need from you.

Man I live in Puerto Rico....it's almost 3 hours flying. But I sure as hell would like to have someone to hang out with those days before the CP since I'm going alone. No friends of mine are taking the program. :confused3
My plans are to arrive days earlier because I wanna get to know the area a little bit better and do some shopping. I don't wanna arrive that check-in day totally lost and by myself so my aunt from Tampa is probably gonna take me to the check-in and help me settle because I wont be having a car over there. If things dont go the way I plan then I'll be doing everything by myself and I'm scared of course. :goodvibes

I'm scared too! ill be going alone, and probably have to get a hotel room. I have an aunt in Fl, but i'm not sure how far away she is. Ill probably try and get a hotel room close to vista and take cabs around, but Ive never taken cabs around either.

How far away from the disney property is vista? Im kind of confused about the whole entire set up of wdw in general. I'm used to DL and everything is in walking distance. I'm afraid Ill be way overwhelmed when I get there.

im stopping in ga, three hours away so ima have to get up at 5 to get there, joanna, was ur check in time 9 or did you just get there that early???i thinkof want to drive the last hours the night before and get a hotel, so i dont look awful that mornign.lol. i just need to figure it out, but if i do let me know if you are getting together the daybefore im all in!!!
