Fall discounts

I tried the "saved offers" thing a week or two ago...Disney sent me two (identical?) emails basically saying "We're glad you're considering staying with us. Check out these photos!" LOL.

This idea of PIN codes and the idea of MMs on-site made me wonder if maybe we could do a split stay. But some photos aren't going to do the trick... :flower3:

Eeee-va -

If you had received a PIN code from the Saved offer, it would have still been in an e-mail exactly like that, with the photos. In other words, the subject line of the e-mail doesn't say, "Here's a PIN code!" It says something about photos, just like what you described, and then you open it up and there are usually hotel rates somewhere near the bottom of the page, with or without a PIN code. Yours is missing the PIN but I'm surprised if it didn't even show regular rack rates.

But as I've been saying for the last week or so, I think that so many people tried this trick at first, when I first brought it up, that it is working against people now rather than for them. I think that whatever the allotment is of PIN's that are attached to a certain number of rooms at the hotels has been sent out, and now we probably have to wait a bit for the ones that go unused to expire after their "claim by" date before any new ones are sent out. And Disney Destinations may not send anymore PIN's out to people who didn't claim the ones they've already sent.

Right now, I expect a lot of people to get e-mails without PIN's or get PIN codes for WDW, or get rates that are not discounted, or get rates that are not for the dates they want, etc. I think this will keep happening until some of the sent offers cycle out. It was working almost like clockwork at first, and then all of a sudden it wasn't. So I am thinking these PIN's reached their limit.

No rack rates! I even did a search for "$" in case I missed it, but nothing! :rotfl:

Mine actually said (with personal info omitted):

Hello *** Family

There's a "Book Now" button as well, and below all that, "Great Reasons To Stay" and "Must-Do Attractions." (Bizarrely, the "Great Reasons to Stay" cites Magic Morning entrance into Fantasyland (nothing about Tomorrowland!).

I know a PIN might come later, but I just thought the email was funny. Disney, you're going to have to try harder than that. :rotfl:

I did click the "Book Now" button. It just took me to the regular booking page and when I plugged in my dates, the prices were the same as they'd been when I tried the trick.

Eeee-va, I got the same email. I clicked on the book now button too. No pin code. I guess I am just going to have to wait till the fall discounts come out. Hopefully everything isn't booked up by then.

New discounts are upon the DL website!!!! Unfortunatly not for my dates yet but I'm still hoping! Thanks for all your replies.

The special offer has a typo, right? I'm seeing it for "4-night/3-day" packages. It should be "4-day/3-night", right? Maybe they changed their check-in time to 8 pm and their check-out to 8 am! :rotfl2:

It could be right. Originally, we were looking at a 4 night/3 day package. We would arrive Sunday night and spend Mon, Tues, Wed in the park on a 3 day hopper with checkout Thursday morning.

I think those deals have been available for awhile. Unfortunately we are arriving on 10/1 so I need to wait and see if another deal comes along.

I was all excited when I saw new offers on the website but then realized that they seem to be just extensions of the old offers?? (very similar anyway) I was hoping for October discounts. We are travelling from the Midwest so I want to book flights, etc. soon. Should I wait for a discount or go ahead and book? Do I need to worry about onsite hotels filling up in late October?

I did this a few weeks back and got my offer a couple of days ago. Unfortunately the offer isn't that great. Paradise Pier is discounted to $240 a night, DLH $260 a night, and GCH is $355 a night. I was hoping for more significant savings I guess. The dates they offered were the ones I had indicated in my saved offer. :confused3

I am looking at paying $515 a night for GCH for our trip...and $315 for PP...

so I would take those rates!!!!:goodvibes
