hello all,

I remember that crowd levels were very high for portions of october 09. Unofficial guide is showing very low crowd levels for Oct 2010. Can anyone comment on crowd expereinces from Oct 09? Anyone going this October?

I am going this October from the 14-22nd. I can't tell you about the crowd levels..I am hoping they aren't too bad. According to touring plans they are low for the dates I am going. Not sure how accurate it is though!

Im going the 14 - 24. When I originally booked my room in Aug 09 for this upcoming trip, I couldnt get my #1 pick of the Beach Club resort (I wanted to be near Epcot for F&W). I then chose my second pick of the Contemporary...nothing except theme park view/club levels available. 3rd choice, the Poly was available. I was wondering why the ohter 2 were all booked up and when I got a pincode and called back to apply it, I asked the CM. She told me a convention was coming in at that time.:scared1:

Then, I got another pincode with my dates blacked out, which seemed to confirm they were not hurting for business during my weeks. Just recently I logged onto disneyworld.com and checked random resdorts for availability. Beach Club ad opened up, the contemporary had all room levels available and all other resort I checked had all levels available. Did the convention cancel?:confused3 Did the CM really know what she was talking about:confused3

I guess I wont find out until I get there!:)

Have been a couple of times in Oct. 1 year low crowds, next year a little more busy. We are going again this year Oct 7 thru Oct 16. Hope crowds arent too bad. It can also be hot then too.

I am also going in October (see PTR link below) 20-26. I really hope the crowds aren't bad!

What days do the fall break occur? Where I am from there is no fall break.

TIA!

We have Fall Break Oct 8-10. Most of our area has it around Columbus Day. I've read many others from Tennessee, Kentucky, and other Southern states have about the same time. We're going then -along with what seems like half of my kids' schools.

I was there last year on Columbus Day weekend and it really was not bad. The only problem then was the heat wave, 111 degrees with the heat index.

We also did the party on that Friday night and it was walk-ons.

we r going again this year but pushed it back to the end of the month.

We go every Fall Break to Food & Wine and the weekends at Epcot are crazy! Atleast it was last year! We will be there again 10/18-10/25 and plan on sterring clear of Epcot on the weekend. Other than that, everthing else is great and not really crowded....

Our kids have fall break the last Thursday and Friday of October, so that is the week we are going to DW. We went the same week last year and the wait for rides was great most of the time. We are RD people and take an afternoon break around 12:00 pm when the parks get more crowded, then come back around 4:00 and we waited in very few lines. The Monday that we left (November 2nd) we stopped at DHS to ride RNRC and TOT one more time and noticed that there seemed to be significantly more people there than the previous week. I think that was the start of Jersey week? :confused3

We dont have a fall break here and the disney cm said orlando doesnt have one this year or the week we are going (cant remember which? :confused3)

we went Columbus Day week in 2005 and thought it was very crowded... but we are braving the first week in Oct this year... crowds or not!!! ;)
