I have enjoyed reading so many other pre-trips and trip reports that I thought I'd give it a try.
Cast of Characters:
Me(38): Obsessive planner of trip, been dying to return since our trip in October 2004, SAHM who doesn't stay home much, but when I do, I'm on the DIS!
DH(38): Adoring husband who thinks I'm crazy/obsessive but will love my efforts once we arrive, has no opinion other than staying at WL
DS(12)
: Still loves to vacation with us wherever we go, plays the saxophone in band and loves it, very sad
that his favorite ride will be closed while we are ther (BTMRR)
DD(9)
Major princess in training, just wants to see Jasmine (we missed her last time and we haven't stopped hearing about it!) and ride It's a Small World (closed last time)
I started planning this trip last year. DH and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary in August. We decided to celebrate our anniversary by going to WDW. Now, I realize most of you would do this withOUT kids, but we just don't take big vacations without our kids. They will be grown and out of the house way to quickly. We want to spend as much time building memories while we can. Anyway, I REALLY wanted to stay at the Poly. DH refuses to pay the $$$ difference so we are staying at WL. You all know of course that along the way, I will waffle and considering staying at a mod or value to save money only to remind myself that this is our "Anniversary" trip.
So, I call AAA to book a package at WL in a standard room and somehow we end up with Woods View with bunk beds.
I decided that bunk beds were really worth the extra money. So we were all settled with resorts. Dining plans come next. My family is SICK of my changes and finally told me to leave it alone!
Here are our ADRs and plans:
10/7 Flight arrives 10:55am, ME to WL to check in
Magic Kingdom/Swim at Lodge
5:30pm Chef Mickey's
8pm Wishes
10/8 Disney Studios, probably not an early morning
4:20 Fantasmic Package, Hollywood & Vine
8pm Fantasmic
10/9 Epcot day - Finally get to ride Soarin!
12:10pm LeCellier
10/10 DTD/Animal Kingdom
8:00am Whispering Canyon
10/11 Epcot at least until lunch
12:00pm San Angel Inn
10/12 Magic Kingdom
8:30am Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for DD
5:30pm 1900 Park Fare Dinner
10/13 Check-out day
8:10am Chef Mickey's Breakfast
1:45pm flight home
I'm not sure what time we'll have to head to the airport on Saturday. I thought it would be nice to have a character breakfast on that last morning. Not sure what else to do. I'm open to suggestions. While I obsess about the PLAN before we go, when we get there I tend to be more laid back and can go with the flow.
This morning I paid the final payment on our trip. My AAA agent said that people are calling her to book discounts and nothing is available. She said most resorts are pretty full. I hope that doesn't mean HUGE crowds, but we'll deal with it once we get there.
I'll post more later. Thanks for reading!
