Fall break 2015 dates

Just curious. I saw threads on this, but very hard to figure just how many schools have fall breaks during our dates without a poll.

We usually only get a couple of days, but this year we are getting a whole week! We are planning for Disney Oct 2-7.

My daughter's spring break is Oct. 12-16, we'll be at Disney Oct. 10-17.

Our fall break is Oct 9 (Friday) through October 12 (Monday). It's a 4-day weekend.

Our fall break is Oct 5-16. We'll be at WDW from the 1st-16th!

Looks like Metro Nashville is October 5-9. Thankfully my kids to to Metro Nashville virtual school, so we can kinda fudge our vacation days

Our school district will start having fall breaks this year. Ours is Sept. 28-Oct. 2.

Ours is October 12-23. We love to try to cruise during that time, but now that DD's in marching band, that's competition season. Sigh.

Fall break 2016 is October 10-21.

We don't do a Fall break. The only thing they do is 2 days off at the end of October for parent/teacher conferences.

Yep, us, too. And of course, we're using it as a chance to go to Disney!

Ours is 19th-26th so we'll be there the 17th-24th! First Oct trip for us, we are so excited!

October 5-16 here in S. Indiana. Our school district is on a year around school schedule so they get 2 weeks off in March, 6 weeks in the summer, 2 weeks in the fall, and 2 weeks at Christmas.

Yep, same here. We lost a week of spring break this past March due to snow makeup days and the last day of school jumped from the 27th of May to June 2.

In Minnesota all public schools are closed the 15th and 16th of October. Some districts designate the entire week as fall break, but most, including ours, only give those two days off. Luckily, our district allows 5 days of family vacation as excused absences, so we're planning to be in Orlando from the 16th until the 24th (flying on the 15th is nearly $300 more per person!).

Hmm, more during my week than I was hoping for. I am used to very slow times of year. We did go in August once and twice during Jersey week. Hope it isn't a lot worse than those. Time will tell. Happy to see that MANY school districts don't have fall break. Ours doesn't have one, so before disboards. I didn't even know fall breaks existed.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought more schools would have their breaks over the week of Columbus Day. My kids have been on a year round schedule and we usually go at the end of September into the first weekend of October, but this year their break does not start until October 1st. Hoping it won't be too crowded.

We are in a charter and last year the children had 2 four day weekends, one in September for Staff Development and the other in October for Parent/Teacher conferences. A few people used that one in September to go adding a day on each end. We had just been during the summer; so we weren’t one of them. I was hoping to do that this year for various reasons; but it is taking a lot longer to get this year’s calendar making it hard to plan.
