Since it seems that a new fall discount maybe coming out earlier than last year anyone have any ideas of when the Fall AP rates might be coming out?

I am looking for the middle of October. I haven't paid off my trip yet because I a holding out for an AP rate.

Same here. If that free dining offer turns true will not work for us. So will cancel our park tickets and get an ap. Were going to wait until the end to switch but it would not matter now.

We are getting one last trip in before our APs expire in mid-Oct. Our kids have days off at the end of September for Rosh Hassanah. The current discount I have is only good thru 10-1. We are staying until the third. Even free didning is blocked those days. I wish something great would come out, then we could upgrade.

Is anyone else concerned that the potential FD offer will book up enough rooms that there won't be a lot of AP availability thru the end of the year?

I'm hoping for some kind of room only discount for November at the Poly, whether it's AP, general code or whatever Disney decides to call it. The FD isn't as big a value for us as a 40% room discount.

Yep, always possible. I've not been thrilled that the AP holders have been last in line to get discounts this year. I guess Disney makes more off of the folks booking packages then they do for the AP holders booking room only reservations. It's all about the money!

We've been contemplating buying AP's before our Dec trip seeing as we have started going about every 7 months or so and definately plan on going again before the next Dec. Do you all feel like you miss out on discounts since it seems like most of them require ticket purchases or is Disney pretty good about usually having a decent AP room only discount available? For now we plan on always staying on-site and we also have always purchased the Deluxe DP which from what I understand we can still do as AP holders...but I just don't wanna convince DH to buy us AP's and then have to pay rack rate each time we go over the next year..he wouldnt be too thrilled with that :rolleyes1 Sorry to ramble just figured you guys would have some pretty good advice to give!!:worship:

Has anyone checked the site today? My AP expired in May but we are getting new ones for the October trip so I cannot see the website right now. Any information is appreciated.

Thanks.

In my opinion, it all depends on what type of room catagory you prefer. When we used our AP discount in the past it was for a deluxe, with that in mind the AP discount of 40% was a better deal than any other general public offer and we paid OOP for our dining plan. I would think if FD was offered and you only wanted a value room, the FD offer would be a better discount depending on the number of people in your party.

This time around, I am the only one getting the AP and we will use the discount for the room. We have had the AP and gotten the FD by not using the AP discount and paying for the minimum ticket # needed for the FD (or whatever discount). I then kept the purchased tickets for future dates. Really not a great use of the AP discount.

For our Oct trip, I purchased 1 day tickets to get the dining plan and will just upgrade the ticket to an AP (ours expired in May). May people do this. There are other benefits to the pass and I am sure you already did research on. It is offering us a discount on parking, tours and merchandice.

Here is to hoping for a good Oct AP discount so I can remove the 1 day pass and save some money.

Hope this helps a little.
