Anyone else hoping they sail out of NYC again in the fall of '26?

But is that problem unique to Australia? The pulled the Wonder mostly from San Diego to go Australia. Carnival, Royal and Disney operate identical 3/4 night itineraries (same days of the week even). The itinerary features Ensenada, which is a pretty depressing place to visit (it’s not a beach community). It’s a short drive from LA and especially SD and is served only to meet foreign port requirements. Few people get off the shop.

For a family of four, Disney typically charges $1,000 night. Carnival and Royal can be had for $175-$300 when the Wonder is in the region.

I live in Los Angeles and I don’t do the Wonder locally because it’s not worth paying &4,0000 for when I can do Carnival or Royal for less than $1,000. But Disney fanatics disagree.

Obviously the Wonder keeps going back to Australia - in spite of spending nearly a. Month depositing at supper cheap rates - so there must be enough Disney fanatics who think it’s worth the price.

Might be they are trying to "build" up demand in the Australian/Asian market... sometimes that could take a few years. Might not be profitable the first few seasons.

I think at their price point, they have too many ships (once they build out the fleet as they have planned) for the Caribbean market...

Nope. Not at all. It’s just too far to get a really good itinerary. I would much much rather see them do a robust offering of cruises from San Juan that can visit some truly interesting ports on a 7-day cruise instead!!

Because 3 days in Bermuda is an infinitely better itinerary than the dumpy port towns they bring you to in the Caribbean, in my opinion.

I loved Bermuda AND I loved my Southern Caribbean from San Juan. IMO the Southern is way better than the Eastern or Western. But if I had to pick one it would be Bermuda from NYC, such a beautiful place and it felt so safe. I loved being able to stay overnight too. And it’s much easier to get to than San Juan for me.

I have not been to Bermuda- that one would be an appealing option.

The Southern Caribbean offers many ports that are far from "dumpy". Aruba, Curacao, Barbados, St. Kitts, etc. Just among the ones I have been to- I'm sure there are more!

My two cents are that the announcement likely won't happen until at least next week. The basis for this speculation is that next week is a major holiday so they likely wouldn't want to have booking start next week (and booking generally seems to start the week after the announcement). There's a chance the announcement could happen next Tuesday with booking starting the week after July 4. Otherwise it will likely happen in July.

Of course I won't mind being proven wrong by Disney and seeing a drop this week!

Normally in the AM so I think Laurelew is right- no drop this week. Thinking Tuesday next week with booking the following week. Gives families gathering for 4th of July itineraries to look at but does not need booking to happen until after the holiday has passed.

The list of dates and itineraries will post for everyone at the same time. Pearl will just have first access to book (normally several days after itineraries are released). Right now it is looking like we will get itineraries next week (thinking Tuesday) with booking starting sometime the week of the 7th (I'm betting on the 8th or 9th)
