Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

I wanted to bring my senior citizen beagle a couple of years ago and board him at the pet centre but he had a bad heart and I don't think the heat would have been good for him. He also thought he was human and would have got really offended if we left him with dogs!:)

I love beagles!!!! They are the coolest dogs and too smart for their own good, lol. Last l, I love that he's too human to stay with other dogs lol.

But you can't see the CP there!!! Where are you booked right now?

I know!! I really am torn as well as pretty confused. For the past five years I've been trying to talk my daughter in to going to Disneyland instead of a WDW. I grew up going to Disneyland, before The Haunted mansion, when the Monsanto House Of The future was there, where you could see real American Indians doing native dances and Aunt Jemima was at her restaurant, making sure all the children ate their breakfast lol.

There's cars land, the Matterhorn, the Blue Bayou Restaurant and you can look up in Walt's window on main street and see the light in the window that is on 24 hours a day in tribute to Walt.

But, it's not Disneyworld and in would be in March, not December. I'm just VERY surprised and not sure how I feel about it.

Ok, so we have TONS of Disney movies, but I've picked these so far for movie themed dinner night.....

Alice tea party
Dumbo carnival food (thanks CandiceF my kids are really excited about this 1)
Hercules Hero subs
Toy Story pizza
Lilo & Stitch Luau
Lady and the Tramp spaghetti
Princess and the Frog jambalaya and beignets
Mulan Asian
Parent Trap (Haley Mills version) camping and s'mores
Nemo oldest suggested PB& "Jelly" and goldfish crackers

We have Brave, but the kids said no haggis. We also have all the Pirate movies, but rum is the only thing that comes to mind and that won't work.

Brilliant! I love all your ideas, as well as everyone else's!!! Wonderful! When I think of Scottish food I always think of mutton, fish and chips as my brother said they had the best fish and chips when he was stationed there, root vegetables and barely lol.

I love the idea of Mickey pizzas!!! How fun!!! You ladies are brilliant!!!!

That's a tough one to call. I wish you all the luck in your decision making! :shamrock:
I'm secretly, or not so secretly, hoping for WDW so you can go to CP and you'll be there sooner, but I can understand you wanting to go to DL too! Don't worry, you'll pick the right one! :)

You'll have to try some ideas with your grandmunchkins!!! I bet they would enjoy making pizza!!

You've got some good ones too!!! Party City sells the coins. You can get 15 for $1. Target has trail mix that's called Monster Mix ( I think). What about sandwiches and use green/red olives for the eyes. You could make cookies and ice them like monsters. Maybe just pick your favorite Mickey movie for the pizza and go all out with red and black decor adding a little yellow and white too.

Ooh, you could totally do the monster cookies!! I did some for a bonfire party last Halloween, and they were a ridiculously big hit!!! I'll see if I can find a pic but I just took sugar cookies, frosted them with a plain colored frosting and then took big white eyes that Wilton sells and stuck eyes all over them! They turned out ridiculously cute and were soooo easy!

They would love that!!! They're starting to want to cook so this would be a lot of fun for them! I always make them Mickey pancakes, so we can have Mickey pizza one week and Mickey pancakes, etc. For dinner another week.

I really need to think about Old Yeller, which I just ordered. I was thinking of making meatloaf in the shape of a dog bone, lol. I know our doxen would be happy to help celebrate with a few bites of it lol.

Here they are!!

These are adorable!!!!

We have been doing Disney movie night every single Friday since end of July last year. It was a great way to introduce the kiddos (any myself) to Disney characters.

Beagles are my favourite!!! My beagle Norman was the love of my life (Sorry DH), LOL! We had to use child locks before we even had kids, he could get into any fridge and garbage. He was so smart! He also never barked and would show you what he wanted by looking at something and then back at you. Right now we have a Golden Retriever who acts just like Odie. When my youngest is in school all day I want to get another beagle. I don't think I could handle DS3 and a beagle puppy at the same time!
I know how much you love DL by the way you talk about it, but I also know how excited you are for CP. I think either way you will be happy!:)

I think the meatloaf sounds cute!!! You could probably find a dog bone cookie cutter and make lots of treats with that like dog bone shaped rice krispie squares.

They're truly amazing dogs!!! My beagles could also open the refrigerator and when she did she would bark so I would get her something. We had a golden doodle also, who would act differently based upon her hair. When she was groomed she would be our princess. when her hair started getting long, she would become a goof ball. It was hilarious.

I am reluctant to give up the WDW trip, but DL is something I'd really like the grandmunchkins to see!!

Also your idea of dog bone shaped treats sounds great!!! Or, I thought after that even though Old Yeller is a lab(?), we could do hot dogs in honor of our wiener dog lol.

I think hot dogs in honour of your wiener dog would be cute! That is too funny about your golden doodle.:rotfl:Beagles are amazing!! At our first apartment we had a pass through from the dining room to the kitchen. Norman figured out that if he jumped on a chair he could get on the dining table jump through the pass through and land on the kitchen counter. We had to move the dining table away after that one, LOL! Beagles and their never ending quest for food!! We have our retriever and a Saint Bernard (short haired) now. It's a tough call on the WDW vs DL. Maybe you should have a group meeting and look at the pros and cons of each. Either way you will have fun!!!!:cool1:

Just an FYI for anyone still needing to book flights. I already have mine but check the rates pretty often in case they drop and southwest just dropped lower then last weeks big sale. Hope someone can get a good deal!

I was also thinking about doing a count down calendar the month before we leave. Kinda like the ones that count down to Christmas but have a fun Disney surprise for each day. Just little things like Disney stickers and small toys or candy. On the last day I wanted to surprise all 3 with a Disney gift card each that they could use at Disney!

That's super cute!!! Love this idea... We were thinking of not telling her until that morning... She knows we are going after the birth of our 2nd child but never stated went... But that idea is so much cuter!

Just curious, which airport are you looking at?

Norman sounds so cool! I wish we would have known each other then, as we could have bred Norman and Samantha lol. Their pups would have been the cutest little terrors, lol.

I'm still making ADR's in the morning, but I think I'm losing the East coast/West coast battle.
