Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

So excited I am going in September with DH and in December with DS20 got Free Dinning for both trips. CM told me I should try for a trifecta when I tried to get DH to go for another trip with the 3 of us, he said someone has to stay home with the dog.

Happy Saturday y'all!!! Texas summer is finally here, which means time is trickling by!!!

SChell I'm so happy for you!!! I'm so glad your persistence paid off!!!
It's summer here too :crazy2: . I'm ready for it to be Fall.

Happy Saturday to you SunnieRN!! I haven't got POR yet, but I'm still looking!! I may break down and call Monday to see if I can find out anything different.

I bet you could find a dog sitter. Maybe take the dog too. I think they have a pet care center at Disney.

I keep checking daily to see if POR opens, as I would change everything for that!!! This morning my daughter says she wants to go to Disneyland instead. If I could get POR, I think she would change her mind.

They do and I'm fairly certain it is an air conditioned area. We considered taking our fur baby so we could 'visit' during the week.

So bummed. My best friend is going to WDW the first week of Aug and offered to let me tag along. She is going to be staying at the GF. One place I would like to stay but never think I will. But just checked and can't get the time off from work. So close and yet so far. LOL:sad2:

I wanted to bring my senior citizen beagle a couple of years ago and board him at the pet centre but he had a bad heart and I don't think the heat would have been good for him. He also thought he was human and would have got really offended if we left him with dogs!:)

So sorry! It's hard when something is so close but you can't do it. At least you can still go to Disney!

But you can't see the CP there!!! Where are you booked right now?

That is a bummer. Maybe check again next month and hopefully something will work out. :)

I am a few days behind on the boards because my week has been insanely busy. Just realized I am at the 3 month point today! Woohoo!!!

Thanks again to damskipi13, kellyjeanie and 6loversofdisney for starting these threads and to all those that have joined in and kept them going. Hopefully, we still have 150 pages or more to plan, discuss and share our Disney obsession before we have to move on to the next part.......then bring on the sequels!!!!

:yay: :cool1:  :woohoo: party: :woohoo:  :cool1: :yay:

You're welcome! I had to do it....I'm going solo and without my online Disney buddies who would I have planned and obsessed with?? :scared:

I keep thinking that too! Our trip dates are the same and I was getting confused when people were saying they had less than 100 days to go. I had forgotten that this was a group of FD trips so some of them may start in August :)

This thread is for EVERYBODY! We don't discriminate here! :grouphug:

Ok, so we have TONS of Disney movies, but I've picked these so far for movie themed dinner night.....

Alice tea party
Dumbo carnival food (thanks CandiceF my kids are really excited about this 1)
Hercules Hero subs
Toy Story pizza
Lilo & Stitch Luau
Lady and the Tramp spaghetti
Princess and the Frog jambalaya and beignets
Mulan Asian
Parent Trap (Haley Mills version) camping and s'mores
Nemo oldest suggested PB& "Jelly" and goldfish crackers

We have Brave, but the kids said no haggis. We also have all the Pirate movies, but rum is the only thing that comes to mind and that won't work.

Can I come? This sounds awesome.

You should look for the Goldfish shaped flatbread for the Nemo party! I've seen it at Walmart. For Brave, what about roast beef, tatties (mashed potatoes) and shortbread for dessert? Or do brunch and have porridge and scones!

You have some great ideas!!! I will have to use some of those!!:) With all this planning we all might need an adults pirate party, LOL! My boys both love all the Pirate movies so I have been constantly trying to come up with ideas for that 1. I thought of having hot dogs in buns and putting toothpicks with little pirate flags in them to look like pirate ships. I also thought about finding those chocolate coins wrapped in gold foil that look like gold coins. (If they even make those anymore)
My daughter I wanted to do Snow White- carmel apples and ?
Monsters Incorporated- Some sort of Monster looking food, maybe cupcakes with gummy worms
Jungle Book- Chocolate Banana Smoothies and Banana Bread
I also want to do a Mickey pizza. Regular pepperoni pizza but put 2 little black olives above each piece of pepperoni to look like mickeys ears. I am not sure what movie to watch with this one.
Everytime I see the word "Haggis" I think of the movie "So I Married an Axe Muderer"!:rotfl2:

Maybe you can get a good RO discount for POR when they open it up for late fall dates.:)

My kids went to their aunt's house last night for a sleepover and now their cousins want to come to dinner too!!! I'll definitely have to look for the flatbread. Brave with a side of roast beef it is!! Thanks!!!!

You've got some good ones too!!! Party City sells the coins. You can get 15 for $1. Target has trail mix that's called Monster Mix ( I think). What about sandwiches and use green/red olives for the eyes. You could make cookies and ice them like monsters. Maybe just pick your favorite Mickey movie for the pizza and go all out with red and black decor adding a little yellow and white too.
