Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Anytime!

We had allot of compliments & requests from both CMs & other guests about where to order them.

A front desk CM at the Poly admired my LILO & Stitch - so I peeled it off & stuck it on her band as we checked in.. lol. I had ordered 2 sets, but my DD wanted to stick with her Anna/Elsa set, I used the 2nd set.

Erin who owns MY Fantasy Bands is a joy to deal with. Her graphic design background really lends it's self to her product!

This one is cute! I have the Faith Trust and Pixie Dust one from last year - I'll have to get a picture of it and post it when I can

I wasn't really into the pin trading thing until our TA sent us our travel package right before our trip and she included a Minnie Mouse lanyard for my daughter. I hurried up and order a lot from eBay before our trip. I only took the ones I wasn't crazy about to trade but of course I ended up just buying more and now I see so many in the shop Disney Parks app that I want. I'm not very good at the trading thing either.
One night we walked over to the food court at CBR and they had a pin trading board set up outside. My youngest found an orange bird pin that she didn't have and really wanted so we went in the store at CBR to purchase a mystery pack. You would think buying a mystery pack would be an easy way to find something you would want to trade. No. After buying four packs she finally found one that was acceptable to trade.

.

They are very easy to apply or reuse.
If I'm having any problem smoothing them perfectly flat - I heat them up a bit with the blow dryer - same for re-using them. Have never had a residue, they are a good quality vinyl & do not contain a noticible adhesive.
They are 100% waterproof - we swim in ours :)

Brilliant! Thank you! I'm sold!! So if I understand correctly, it takes two parts to cover the top of the band. They're adorable and I can already see how addictive this could be lol.

That was sweet!! I bet you made her day! The band's are amazing!! It's hard to choose, she has so many!

We were visiting Minnie and Mickey at Epcot. I had on a lanyard and my Minnie pins were on one side of the lanyard. Minnie took a liking to one of the Minnie pins. She kept pointing to herself on each pin. She then pointed at one and made a heart with her hands, so I took it off and gave it to her. Her handler pinned it on her.

Mickey had to see and made a big deal about it. THEN he looked at my lanyard and there were no Mickey pins. He pretended to cry. He got down on the floor and pretended to cry some more. When he got up I gave him a Minnie pin. All was right in the world once again lol.

I was really wanting purple, but the other two adults in our group both wanted green (?), so finally one of them agreed to purple so the other one could have green lol. So, I have pink. I am so not a pink person. I'm thinking of switching to orange.
I'm getting Purple. But we are also getting skins that you can put on them. One is getting a glow in the dark sink the other BB8 and I'm just getting metalic. They are pretty cool.

I'm thinking Tinkerbelle for my daughter. Tinkerbelle is her favorite. A paisley purple for our purple friend, she's 73 and loves paisley. Or maybe a princess. The boys are set. Now I'll look for me!!

I asked this on the dining thread, but didn't get any replies. We will be on BDP. We will have an extra TS, so decided to try California Grill or Narcoosse's for dinner. It will be an early dinner, about 5:30, due to my grandmunchkins. They are good at restaurants, but a dinner at 8-9 wouldn't work with them.

I know you can return to the viewing deck at CA Grill, but is there a spot to watch the fireworks from the Grand Flo?

Any suggestions/opinions would be appreciated. Thank you!

That's so cute! Thanks for the link, I'm going to go check them out! We had the bandits last time, but they are kind of annoying to keep from loosing. This looks like a fun alternative!

We had the bandits on our first bands, same thing - they'd fall off unnoticed and we would have to head back to our point of purchase for replacements (free) - the covers have been a great way to decorate. And are a great conversation starter ;)

I have a dv question. Hopefully someone has the answer. My friend is trying to book and there is no availability, but I found availability using the dv link. Can I reserve in her name and use my card?

Narcoossee's is my favorite restaurant at WDW so far! You can see the fireworks right outside the restaurant on the deck. They even have the music piped in out there. I'm not sure if they pipe the music inside because we watched from the deck after our meal. The Electrical Water Pageant also went right by us. It was a great place to view the fireworks and water parade!

Thank you! Looking at the menus it's a hard decision, as I've never eaten at either. I'm leaning toward NARCOOSSEE's at there are choices we would all enjoy. Can you return to the deck, if you eat early to view the water pageant and fireworks? Thanks again!! You helped me make a decision!!!

I'm pretty sure you can access the deck without going through the restaurant, but I've heard you can also view the fireworks from the boat dock at GF which is nearby the restaurant. The only issue you might have is finding things to do while you wait for the fireworks after dinner if you eat early. I guess you could leave and come back but that might be a bit of a hassle. I love the GF though, it is so pretty! The lobster at Narcoossee's was fabulous, and I am picky because I am from New England and am used to eating good lobster!

Hey all! I've been MIA and just caught up on part 3 of the free dining thread! Glad to see you all are still here! So we decided to forego FD this year, in favor of a RO at Poly through 'magical' agency / tickets through UT...I hope the savings prove to be true, but we'll only know after November/December 2016! I miss Black and Dirty Steve...guess there's no reason for the "experts" to chime in recently, but miss their cryptic thoughts, lol, and hope all of you got exactly what you hoped for!

Yes, I've done this in the past- used my DVcard to book both our family's room and my parent's room to take advantage of DVcard promo. After the initial down payment, each can use whatever form of payment to pay the rest of the vacation package.

I'm late to this discussion, but we have a similar issue. Our girls are 2&6 and we are bringing our good stroller for our little one but I am insisting on the umbrella stroller too for our 6. DH thinks I've lost my mind and we have had several, let's call them "spirited" discussions about this stroller but I am adamant! The nights will be long, and the waiting for busses may be extensive some nights at midnight, and she's only 6! If she wants to get pushed occasionally, I am ok with that, she's growing up so fast anyway, if she wants to be babied once in awhile, I'm good. Even if we don't use it, it takes up literally a foot of space in the room and flies for free, so what's the big deal? If it helps us not miss a cross park FP+ even once, it's earned its keep in my opinion!
Oh, I completely agree with you, you will not regret it, we never have hesitated in bringing our stroller, even when DS (6) had all his limbs hanging out in all their glory! Not only did it give him a break, but it gave us a vehicle to strap on all our bags, food, parade spot saving, etc...this year, DS turns 7, and we're going to try without the stroller, but I will miss it (and I'm guessing he will too!)

Since this will be on December 16th, we were planning on eating, riding the monorail to see the Christmas decorations at the resorts, then settling in to watch the fireworks. Ty again, you've helped so much!!

I think the last post from Dirty Steve was that he still hadn't found what he was looking for. I wonder if he was ever able to snag a deal. :scratchin
