Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Now that I have magic bands,booklet and dme luggage tags. I realize no more Disney mail. I have tweaked all the ADR's that I needed to. FP are done. I have resorted to checking the Southwest schedule to see if the flight I am going to take is on time or early every day! Maybe I can make packing lists!
This trip has consumed my thoughts for months.....what will I do when I come home??

Yay, Disney mail on the way!!!

How nice of your friend to bring you something back. Several years ago, I dropped some friends off at the airport to go to Florida for a wedding and they brought me back a pair of Mickey ears with my name on them.

I got some really cool pins. They did the VIP tour and got their pins and they started the Mickey trading pin set for me. I'm going to get the whole set.

Two trips next year and the first one would be less than a year from your upcoming September trip. Now I'm jealous!!! I need to look into this whole renting points thing.

Yeah my friend just stayed at the Grand Floridian. She has only stayed there and the Dolphin and the Wilderness Lodge I think its a push to get her to stay at the Pop so will try for Beach Club.

That's cool you got the ears. I've gotten them for others, but never for myself.

Yes thank-you for thinking of me! We booked a package last year before resort, ticket and DP prices increased for this year and it works out to be a better discount than 15%! We did add on a RO reservation for 1 day at the beginning of our trip and I was able to modify that and saved about $38, Lol! You must be getting so excited now that your trip is getting so much closer!!! How is movie night going? We haven't started ours yet, I am waiting until when they start complaining that they have to go back to school. I wish we got our Magic bands ahead of time but we live in Canada so they don't ship them to us, we have to pick them up when we get there. I want to decorate them!

I'm sorry you don't get yours ahead of time. When do your kids go back to school? I don't have kids, but the ones here are already back in school. Back in Oregon they still have another three and a half weeks before school starts up again.

We just got our book and our luggage tags. Mine is already on my PACKED bag. I need to repack. I had just tossed it all in from a bigger bag. Weighed it and still have 30 pounds of wiggle room. Well minus the seven pounds of CANDY I'm taking LOL. That's carry on. Our Magic Bands ship today. In two weeks I'll start planning again for a may trip.

4 weeks today they go back. I will miss them but I am looking forward to Fall weather, this heat wave is horrible! The Mickey trading pin set sounds like fun!

We have what is called year long school so summer break is from May to Aug. Then extra time off during breaks. I live in AZ and its in triple didgets here. Sun goes down by eight so its ok to have kids in bed early. I remember in Oregon during sept that the sun was still out at nine. That was hard. I miss fall weather too.

It's fun planning with people who love Disney as much as I do! My husband loves Disney but not so much the planning, LOL. You must have a relaxing vacation now, the cookie's orders. Yes we can still pick our magic band colors and my daughter has changed her mind twice already. I keep telling her she can't keep changing them for too much longer. Good point about not having to remember to pack the magic bands, I probably would forget them in our rush out the door for our trip! I think we are going to Hot Topic this week or next and I would love the Wall-E and Jessie ones! They remind me of when my DS 9 was little and loved those movies. I hope the kids had a great first day of school! My kids don't go back until after Labor day so they still have about a month left of summer. I haven't figured out all of my FP's yet, I am hoping my youngest grows a tiny bit more so he can go on more rides this year.

Thanks CandiceF! Both girls seemed to be excited about their 1st day of school. I hope your kids are enjoying their summer break minus the heat. It's terrible here too. Last trip, my youngest hit the 48 inch mark. I remember years prior thinking will this be the year she can ride Thunder Mtn.. I think we measured her every week once our trips were booked. To commemorate these momentous occasions, I took her photo when they checked her height at Thunder and RNR to show she was tall enough to ride. I hope your youngest is able to experience "the wildest ride in the wilderness" on your trip!!!

Hi everyone! I haven't forgotten about you, I've just been super busy lately. I've kind of reached that point in my trip planning that I've done all I can do for now, our ADRs are fine, I have a general daily plan that we stick to, so there's not much to do right now.

I guess I have the pre trip blues, LOL.

One reason one reason I enjoy these threads is to help get me through the waiting. Once my planning is done, then not only can I focus on the excitement for my trip, but for others while they are still planning. WE'RE ALL GOING TO DISNEY!!!!

Aren't you planning an anniversary trip for next year? No better time to start planning then when you get back. I find this makes it easier to come home if I know I can start planning my next trip back . There should be more Disney mail to come after your trip. The last two years we received a sketch once we got home. If you happen to book a BB while your there, you might even find a packet waiting for you when you get back. Then there is always Disney Visa offers and the coveted pins code that are mailed out.

Staying at Beach Club means you would be a short stroll away from Epcot!! I would love to be able to just walk over and enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival!!

Aren't you planning an anniversary trip for next year? No better time to start planning then when you get back. I find this makes it easier to come home if I know I can start planning my next trip back . There should be more Disney mail to come after your trip. Then there is always Disney Visa offers and the coveted pins code that are mailed out.

These are nice. I ordered for us and my parents from here last trip. We were meeting them there and the kids wanted to surprise them with the designs they picked so we just put them on their bands when we arrived there. Another one is myfantasybands that work well.

That is the main reason we are going in May. She heard about it from her VIP person. I'm trying to use that as a selling point. LOL Then we don't have to bus and we can just walk through epcot and then catch the monorail to MK.

If you book 9/9 you could extend your trip out to the 21st to include your anniversary, but that would be a long trip and I'm not sure how many days you would want to book. When I celebrated my 40th birthday we went in October (kids fall break) even though my actual birthday is in June (not sure I could stand the crowds or the heat). If you're really sure you want to go to Disney, I would go ahead and book especially if you want a certain resort/room type. That being said, it may not be included if a deal does come out later though. You could always modify if a deal does come out or cancel and rebook something entirely different if you're willing to change resorts/ room locations. I ended up paying more for my birthday trip because the only thing at POR was RR (and that was with a pin), but I was ok with it. I'm sure you'll make the right decision no matter what you choose.
