Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

We spent literally almost 7 HOURS last night getting our FP planned! UGH!!! I miss the old FP system! We are going for 10 days so that was part of why it took so long but to know what time we wanted to ride what, we needed to basically plan out our entire park day so we could make our ADRs, see parades and fireworks, etc. I'm exhausted today! Hopefully though everything goes smoothly on the 31st when I have to make the FPs. It will be 5am on a Sunday, and that Saturday night is one of my best friends bachelorette party, so I needed the list to be as idiot proof as humanely possible! Ah, the joys of Disney planning!
Fingers crossed that booking your FP goes off without a hitch!!! :wizard:

After months of checking daily and calling multiple times to make my vacation all 1 reservation instead of 11 days of FD and 1 RO(gave up when FD ended).....I call today to change my room request and she says "I can make this to all one reservation with free dining" I don't understand the in and outs and rules but I can finally stop having nightmares about room switches and checking in and out! Now where to eat another TS !?!
That's wonderful!!! Congratulations!!!

We have 14 days so I can totally sympathize with this as I have spent way too many days looking at our park days. It is pretty stressful trying to figure out which park when, where to hop, work around the ADRs, and think about FPs. Figuring out the FPs had been so hard. I'm doing a combination of Touring Plans site and EasyWdw. Our FP time is coming soon and I keep making changes haha! Now I'm trying to talk myself out of doing 2 MNSSHP nights! I already talked myself down from booking Club Villain.

I can't wait!!! I'm SO excited!!!! Old droopy drawers Wolfie will be happy too!!!!
Have fun with them!!

Adding in the best part about being up early to head to the airport for a non Disney Florida trip - I heard the text from TP for an Akershus dinner for the November Disney trip!! This is one my DH decided he wanted to eat at again well after the 180 day mark so I'm happy I found it :)

It took us three weeks to finally get our FP planned out and that was just the day before they had to be made. We are park hopping most nights except two MK days. We tried to avoid RD but I talked my brother into doing a few. With park hoppers its easier to avoid the crowded parks by using the ones that don't have EMHs. We shall see. The good thing about PH is that if you use your FP fast in the mornng you just hop to another park.

We are doing a red eye flight to Disneyworld in Sept. But we are flying Frontier and I've been reading about their seats and how bad everything is all around. I'm thinking that I wont be getting much sleep. But then again an hour or two nap will totally have me ready to go all day. I've also been stock piling the Starbucks cards. That should help some too. If I don't have surgery in the next week looks like I will pushing it back till November. Ill live with the pain a little bit longer then have to deal with the possiblity of missing the trip.

We used touring plans too. The thing that irritates me was touring plans would make our schedule all over the place, so we jumped all around the park and when I would change it, the estimated wait time would go up by like 1-2 minutes! So we had to totally rearrange all the schedules so the walking decreased which took forever. It's just a computer program so it didn't realize how irrational it was, but still it took forever! I'm just glad it's done, we do our FP in 16 days!!!

Yeah, there has been a definite learning curve for me with TP. I learned to choose minimize walking as one of my settings. Then some of their advice would conflict with Josh's at EasyWdw advice. So it was a lot of "fixing" and going Why Is It Doing That??! Haha!

I am dreading making FPs. Last time the kids weren't as into the parades so that made it easier. This time DD wants to see all the parades so I have to schedule everyday with ADR times, FP times ,parades etc. I remember going to Disney when I was little with my parents and brother and my dad said the only thing he remembers that needed an ADR was HDDR. I am glad we scheduled a day off in the middle of our trip to just explore and do what we want.:)

I hope it's nothing to serious or to cause you to feel bad during your trip. Sending well wishes your way!! Take care!!

If it helps, we usually have great experiences on Frontier. I think their good as long as your expectations are in check. First, their rates are usually very low, but they do charge for basically everything. So if you want a drink, even a coffee, it'll cost you. Same with carry on luggage! Some people hate that, but there are times they offer $60 flights from KC to Orlando, so I feel like I can pay $3 for a coffee.

The seats are fine for me, but my husband is tall and wishes there was more leg room. If you want, you can pay to upgrade your seat to one with more leg room and also get luggage included. I can't remember what the price of that is, but it is an option! My only complaint with Frontier is that they don't guarantee parents will sit next to their little kids. You have to pay for assigned seats to know you'll sit next to your own child. Me, I don't care what seat I sit in, but I don't want my 4 year old on the other end of the plane! I figure no one else wants that either, so I don't know why they charge.

I know you weren't asking me, but we had no problem getting FEA FP+. We couldn't get them on our first day at the time we wanted, but we got a 2 PM. We got them again for later in our week, and got the 11 AM we wanted.

That's good to hear. We're hopping parks around 2pm, so I'm really hoping we can get our FP duirng the first half of the day. We're going one of our first days there, though, so I guess we'll see! Worst case, we'll just stand in line. It looks like it's been under an hour lately.

Is the disney site acting up for anyone else? I am trying to make payments on our trip ( I am using giftcards so I have to enter 1 at a time....) and I keep getting the stitch page..? I just wanna pay my trip!
