Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

speaking of AP rates, I haven't booked an AP rate in a while. Can I still book two rooms and do the two rooms have to be the exact same dates? Thanks for you help.

we had two rooms in late June. :thumbsup2

I have no idea about the dates though.:confused3

I have booked AP rates on line many times. You just have to log on as a Annual Passholder, using your passholder numbers from the back of the card. You can do that anytime and your computer should save it, so that on the "big day" you can go to the site, log in as a passholder and be good to head over to the discounts. That's how it should work, anyway.

If you don't have a current valid AP, however, I think you will need to call, because I don't think you can get access to the passholder site.

Question about RO discounts - I know for FD it's all dependent on your check- in date. But for RO the discount just applies to whatever dates are in the window, right? I've done RO before but my dates were always within the window. This time I overlap Pop Warner and our trip is 12 nights long, so I doubt I'll get all of them.

It used to be with Room only that as long as the you started your visit before the discount ended, you got the discount for the whole time. However, when I tried that with the discount now ending on Aug 14, I could only get the discount for 8/14, but not after that (this was using the AP discount on-line). It is possible that if you were booking over the phone that the CM could over ride that. We are not planning to arrive until 8/15, so that is why I am so anxious for AP to release the next round of discounts!

sighhhhhhhhhh(I felt like Napoleon Dynamite when I just checked the site)..... seriously is it so much to ask:furious: hurry up Disney!

Hope it's tomorrow! Could it be possible that for the first time ever they aren't going to release AP rates? Or am I just driving myself crazy? Grrr!!

They'll release them but it may be later than expected and there could be a gap from the current discounts. That's what happened with the GP discount last fall. The APs were released and everyone waited and waited. We finally gave up and booked a great deal at Dolphin. And I'm glad we did because when they finally came out they had a much later start date than expected and our dates weren't covered.

So the past is only predictive to a point. If they don't need to discount, then they won't. Still, I would be shocked if they didn't release something. And the longer the wait, the more likely (maybe) that we might see them release through the end of the year, like they did with FD.

Just booked for October 2012 (BC and CR) and January 2013 (Poly and BWI.) I was booking too fast online, and had to call CRO to adjust our BC room category.

The CM on the phone confirmed that they will release another round of AP rates tomorrow, but only for late August through the end of September. She said those of us with October reservations will need to wait until the next round. Boo! (Although the good news is that it sound like there will be another round!)

If that ends up being true (as we all know the CM's don't always seem to get the same info, so I am not doubting you, just the message) it will be unfortunate. Guess we will have to wait and see, just like always.....:cool1:

Woot!! That makes sense since that would mean its the exact dates of the GP discount! I just hope it's true about tomorrow! Everything we've heard says yay for tomorrow but I don't want to get my hopes up!

Afraid not. Used to it was like free dining, as long as your check in date fell within the window of dates, you'd get the discounted rate for the whole trip. However, that changed several years ago. Now each night stands on it's own. You will be paying week night rates and week end rates. Then if your trip happens to span seasons you may have some nights at the Value Season rates and some at the Regular Season or Holiday rates. Then if all your dates don't fall within the AP discount dates you may get some nights at the discounted rate, but have to pay rack rate or make another reservation and use some other discount for the other nights. I know one trip I had an AP rate at CSR that covered all but one night. That one night was at a different rate (don't remember if it wasthe GP discount for that one night or someother discount, but remember I had to make two different reservations due to the AP discount not covering that one night). For that matter my upcoming Oct 27th-Nov 4th trip was booked under the bounceback rate, but did not cover my last night. Nov 4th is currently prices at rack rate. I always book by phone, so how you book doesn't matter.

AP rates out online for late summer. August 17-Sept 29 only. Discount is the same as what i already have for the public summer rate :(

Where please? I just looked and did not see it. Can you post the link?

go to the main WDW site and log in to the passholder section and click on passholder offers. Or you can call. The code is C5F

Great thank you! I don't have my AP's yet because I purchased them and just have the email so I can't log on to the ap site. But I can call! Thanks so much!

Thanks. Thats what I thought but I wanted to be sure. Any nights that are covered are a bonus. So we should at least get some of them.
