Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

It sucks we have to wait until next Friday but I'm confused with so many people who are concerned they are within 45 days? Why is your reservation a package? If you switch over to AP discount once it comes out they have to re-do it anyway. You're better off making it a room only if you are concerned with resort availability, switch the package to a room only, then switch it to a package a week before your trip.

I've done this AP/DDP/Room Only package thing at least twice a year since 2009, so if anyone has any questions I can probably help them, I've been involved in every situation imaginable, haha!

I actually am booked room only, but I use the 45 day mark as a guide. I've never seen AP rates released past my 45 day mark. Ever.

Nothing today, but I'm thinking its going to be next week. Last round of AP discounts came out a week and a few days before the start date of the promo. Start date of the promo was the 15th, and they came out on the 9th (a Wed.) This time, the start date is once again the 15th, and the 9th is Monday. What do you guys think? There is so much going on next week (Free dining, 2013 rates) I would hope Disney would scatter the promotions out lol but I guess not

This is my first year with AP and I am not sure if it was worth it. I hate waiting, I plan alot of my meals on what resort I stay at so now I am just hoping they are even close... VERY My flights are booked so my dates are firm as well.

I agree it will probably be next week. I was thinking that as well- why would Disney want to release everything within a few days. It sure will make a lot of phone traffic for their CMs.

With the last AP discount it was several days before it was available for internet booking, but you could call and make a reservation. I like booking on the website so I hope it will be different than before. Our first choice is the Poly so I will need to book sooner than later since it is such a popular resort.

I booked 2 rooms with 1 AP, we are family of 7, and it was the same reservation #. Don't know if that makes a difference, at Universal we needed an AP for each room. Luckily not at WDW

So can I book two rooms with one AP even if the other room is for my sister? Also do both rooms have to start and end on the same date?

I don't know how true this is but on our last trip I was talking to one of the CMs at the club level registration desk and was told that discounts were not going to be as big this year as they have been in the past. Looking at the summer AP rates I think he maybe right. I don't want to bring bad news, but I'm not holding my breath on some huge discount. I'm really hoping on one, but it's not looking good. All I can say is good luck to all.

So far this year that seems to be the case, but I'm only asking for the AP rate to match the GP that's out (I want to book with the DDP). I can't see why they wouldn't at least offer that! But the wait is KILLING ME.

Disney's never worried about overloading the phone systems before. I wouldn't expect them to start now. ;-)

Patiently waiting for Dec discounts. I have a 2BDR villa booked at AKV and BWV. I'm not expecting an applicable discount on those rooms, but I'll be ecstatic if I get one.

As an AP holder I'm beginning to think we are the unloved stepchild. Still waiting for discounts for August and September when FD had been released for Disney Visa holders for the remainder of the year. Just feeling a bit neglected.

Always seems that the AP discounts are last many, at least these past few years. I guess they know they "got" us - but it is hard to wait sometimes. I think they do hold some things back for the AP, but I also think by being later in the plan we may have access to more that they know hasn't filled through Gen Population offers. That's how I justify it in my mind anyway.

Still waiting. Hope it's tomorrow or Wednesday, before Free Dining is offered to all - I am sure they won't open up 2 offers on that some day, so I assume Thursday will be out.
