I was really hoping to make it to Bistro in May this year for my first solo trip but never made it, I'm thinking about next year (solo again) but although the food looks sublime I'm just not sure if the atmosphere appeals. How did you find the atmosphere overall?

Very intimate. I think it was dressier and more upscale then any of the other signature restaurants I've been too. Which I thought was odd, since Bistro is actually in a theme park as opposed to a resort, I thought it would be a little more casual then it was.

I found even the entrance to the Bistro looks lovely. But man does the creme brulee tasting make me want to run back to Florida!
Do you have any favourite signatures we're doing deluxe dining for our honeymoon though we're staying BC or BW so if there are any good ones in that area that would be even more lovely!

My favorite two are Citricos and California Grill, though I seem to like Jiko better every trip.

I didn't get the more fancy feeling in terms of clothing from Bistro when I went last trip. I guess it depends on who else is there at the time. When we go there this week - we are only planning on a polo & a blouse/skirt for me.

I'm sure there will be a bunch of places you'll want to try - there wasn't a single meal I had all trrip that I can truly call bad.

The food is really good, I'm still dreaming over that champagne buerre blanc.

I didn't get the more fancy feeling in terms of clothing from Bistro when I went last trip. I guess it depends on who else is there at the time. When we go there this week - we are only planning on a polo & a blouse/skirt for me.

When I was there it seemed every guy was in a suit, and every woman, (except for me,) was wearing fancy cocktail dresses.

The next morning I woke up extra early so I could check out of All Star Sports, walk across the parking lot, and check in to All Star Music. I wouldn't have bothered to do it so early, but I wanted to make rope drop at Magic Kingdom, and I wanted my dining plan credits avialable, since I wouldn't be going back to All Stars until later that night.

I wasn't really hungry that morning, but I did want to make sure my credits were working properly before I headed out for the day, so after dropping my stuff off in my room, (which was thankfully ready,) I went to Intermission Food Court to use my first snack credit on a chocolate crossiant.

It was good, I have no complaints about it. It didn't look like there was much chocolate filling in it, but it actually ended up being a pretty good amount, and I wouldn't have wanted anymore. I also really don't like stuff topped with powdered sugar like that, just find it to be a little too messy.

Actually 14 days if I read it right. The original post said day 2 to day 15 in Disney. I think that only four of these are Universal restaurants and one might be offsite?

Day 2 to 15 I was on the dining plan, day 16 and the morning of day 17 I was in Universal, and days 18 and 19 I was back in Disney. And actually day 16 I was technically in Disney too, since I did spend that morning there.

All the Universal restaurants I ate at were onsite, and there were actually five places I ate at in Universal. Unless you're not counting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter as a restaurant since that was really only drinks.

Joining in and enjoying the review. The food looks yummy at Bistro. We ate there a few years ago and really enjoyed it but we know go to Chefs de France b/c of our son...I didn't think that kids were welcome.

I know kids are allowed there, but I don't think it's the right atmosphere. I felt sort of out of place taking pictures there, I can't imagine what kids would do there, it's a slow paced meal, with no kids menu, and I think they'd be bored.

We never got up, threw things on the floor, needed a video game to occupy ourselves, asked for "kids" food, etc.. We were fed whatever the adults were eating at home, so it wasn't a big deal when going out to eat. It may be rare, but it is possible.

We never got up, threw things on the floor, needed a video game to occupy ourselves, asked for "kids" food, etc.. We were fed whatever the adults were eating at home, so it wasn't a big deal when going out to eat. It may be rare, but it is possible.

I wouldn't mind kids like that eating at all, it's kids like this one girl at Boma that just about drove me wild. Running around one section of tables in a circle, which is not a smart idea in any restaurant, but especially not when people are carrying plates of food. But luckily there was none of that at Bistro.

After breakfast I spent the whole morning at Magic Kingdom. It was very uncrowded and I got a ton done before my ADR time at 12:30, and ended up getting really hungry for lunch around 11:30, so I decided to see if I could get seated early at Tony’s Town Square. I didn’t think it would really be possible, since I had just made that ADR a few days ago, and there were basically no times available, and nothing earlier then the 12:30 I managed to get.

Imagine my surprise when I arrived to an almost empty restaurant. There were literally only five or six tables full. It’s obvious there are a lot of people that make reservations and don’t show. I wish Disney would get rid of ADR’s altogether and just take walkups. It’s so nice to tour without having to be somewhere at a certain time. I like to plan, but I always have a hard time keeping up with my schedule, and I ended up cancelling a lot of meals this trip.

I was obviously able to be seated right away, and was greeted by my waitress. I decided to pay for my meal out of pocket, since I wanted an appetizer, the entrée I wanted was cheap, and none of the desserts really appealed to me.

This was only my second time eating there, and my first time there had been all the way back in 2005, during my first solo trip.

For my appetizer I had the zucchini fries.

The first thing I noticed was that there was an extremely large portion of the sun-dried tomato dip served with them, and even using quite a bit on my “fries” I still had about half of the dip leftover. Other then that I thought they were great. Perhaps they could’ve been cut a bit thicker so that there wasn’t so much breading, but they had a nice seasoning to them, and were very good.

For my entrée I had the Bianca flatbread.

This was probably the worst thing I ate the whole trip. It had mozzarella, basil, and garlic on it, and that was all good, but the crust was horrible, it was thin, very greasy, and very chewy, like it had been microwaved or something. The taste was good, but the texture was just horrible.

Overall, I like Tony’s, but it’s defiantly not a must do, and they could make the food a little better. So I’d return, but it may be another five years before I do eat there again.
