Just thought I would start a thread for all of us who will attending the Fall 2009 season of the college program in Orlando!

My name is Kaylin and I'm from South Carolina!
Ive been going to Disney since I was 2 and have always been a huge fan not only of the parks, but of Orlando and everything Disney
I am really looking forward to making new friends and taking part in the extreme journey at WDW in the College Program!
Arrival date is set for August 24th!

Hey fellow Cast Members!!!
My name is Amanda and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio.
I will be arriving June 15th (2 days after I graduate ahh!) for merchandising. I am in the running for a Professional Internship, so I could here back from that any day now, but I am happy to have my CP any which way!
My boyfriend, Chad has a PI as a Technical Photographer for the second time around. This time I get to go down with him!

I've never had a real job before so I'm really excited about getting to do something new and working at Disney seems like a great place to start!

I'm Robert, and I'm going to be doing Main Entrance Ops. I'm from El Paso and I'm arriving on August 12th. Viva Disney!

I've never had a real job before so I'm really excited about getting to do something new and working at Disney seems like a great place to start

A great place to start indeed! That's going to be cool to say your first official job was at WDW. I mean, what's better? Saying you started off at a local fast food joint or QSFB at WDW? That said, working for the first time -anywhere- is quite a wake-up call So be ready not just for the good, but for the bad and the ugly! There's nothing like that feeling when something goes wrong and you get reprimanded the first time Those days happen, but it's all part of the experience. All I can say for then is learn, adapt, move on, and make the best of it.

Ill be working in the Merchandise Dept.
I didn't even mention that I'm currently going to school at the University of South Carolina. (the other USC lol)
The funny part of my story is that I wasn't even planning to go this year, but intead was waiting maybe for next year to roll around for the opportunity. But when I was actually accepted into the program, I couldn't pass it up! I can't believe I'm gonna be working in the happiest place on earth! lol

The funny part of my story is that I wasn't even planning to go this year, but intead was waiting maybe for next year to roll around for the opportunity. But when I was actually accepted into the program, I couldn't pass it up! I can't believe I'm gonna be working in the happiest place on earth! lol

I wasn't planing to go this year either so I think we're in the same boat lol. I just mentioned it to my parents one night and they were like "Yay go do it!" and I was just like ok I'm actually supposed to be graduating in the fall but I pushed it back for this. I'm so excited we all get to be there!!

You're right I totally forgot that bad things can happen on the job and I might get in trouble over something lol When I sent my application in it showed that I have no job experience all I've ever done is work on my dads website and do some volunteer work. I try to turn every thing into something positive so hopefully if I mess up and get in trouble for it I'll be able to focus on fixing the problem or something else positive lol. Thanks for the advice and I'll see you there!!

Great advice for anyone-first job or not. We are all blessed to soon have "Disney" on our resume and in our memories! (Assuming everything goes well.) A big congrats to all!

Well...make that the most magical place on earth. The happiest is Disneyland, but don't worry I messed up on the vocabulary too. On my interview I said Disneyworld instead of Walt Disney World. I was so scared I was going to get rejected for that But anyway...its good you're coming this year. You never know what's going to happen next year.

I was not brought up going to WDW but got into it on my own, Jacob and I have been 3 times year and a half.
I am really excited for this because Jacob and I both want to have our careers with Disney (Imagineer and Wedding Planner).
