Just a note, the new issue is available on the member website. I just downloaded it and looking through. No huge announcements but there is a nice article reviewing the first 15 years of DVC.

There is also an announcement about the last phase of SSR:

"Two of the new buildings, rising up near the Resort’s main
entrance along Disney Vacation Club Way, will comprise a
section called The Carousel. The other four buildings, located in
the area formerly occupied by the Fairway Villas, will be known
as The Grandstand.
It’s there that Members and Guests will find a 2,490-squarefoot,
racetrack-themed leisure pool, a 1,257-square-foot interactive
water area and a 118-square-foot pool. The area also will
include restrooms, laundry facilities, the Backstretch Bar and a
barbeque pavilion (a second barbeque pavilion
will be located in The Carousel section)."

Thanks for the heads up and the info about VM on the website.

That's great news about the pool area. That should alleviate fears of people who worried about overcrowding at SSR. It's also really neat to hear they're working in the racetrack! Now if they just started taking bets....

I mentioned once before, after I became a member, that the last pool was going to be themed like a racetrack. We I got my "blue" DVC book, the resort map shows the last pool, with the racing lanes going around the perimeter.

There is also a blurb about the Nemo ride at EPCOT being ready in October. They maybe referring to DVC and Passholder previews during October.
