Fake Tan

So, who has tried fake tan, I was the experimental rat (For Relative) last night, woke up with patches all over my legs

What experiances have you had?

I've found that Johnsons Holiday Sun goes on well with no streaking and it gives you a more natural colour.

I've found that Johnsons Holiday Sun goes on well with no streaking and it gives you a more natural colour.

I have recently used this on my DD's, and although the first application was a bit streaky, after that it settled to a lovely colour

I used the Johnsons too I stop using after two days at it was really patchy.

I use the self tanning system by Clinique. It is really good and I've never had any problems with it

Have used ecotan in the past goes on great with a wonderful all over even "tan" (but it stinks) and you can develope the colour you want by reapplying another coat, it's clear when you use it so you have to make sure it gets everywhere,also used St Tropez it's messy but the colour is good and stays on quite well. Have also used Zhuzh it's very good too and leaves the skin soft and moisturised it made me very dark DBIL hardly recognised me!! I'm normally a pasty colour and find it very hard to achieve a natural tan just go lobster pink in sunlight

Have been thinking about using that one do you need to use the night time one as well as day cream to get a good result??Anyone??

It's not fake tan, but I use Zhuzh which is a spray which boosts the skins production of melanin. After just a couple of hours in the sun it leaves you with a gorgeous, natural tan.

2 years ago the day before we went on holidays
I put my tan on , so i wouldn't be white , came out lovely and was really happy . and away on holidays we went.

got up really early the first morning , 5am you have all been there
and put on the sun cream and headed out for a great day in MK

Well about lunch time DH said Jackie you are turning ORANGE , I replyed "I KNOW , Bright orange at this time ," but I was in MK and i was not leaving , That evening I spend over 2 HOURS trying to get it off ,BTW Baby wipes are the best ,
So that is me and fake tan , I will stay white from now on

it most have been the sun cream on top of the Fake tan that done it , as everyone else was using the same sun cream

but the funny thing was after that I seen quite a few orange people in the parks
so just be warned, the 2 creams do not go together

Thanks for posting this Jackie I have always wondered whether skin would just tan naturally through the fake tan. I shall warn DDs who use the fake ones all the time

I take it you exfoliated with a good exfoliator prior to applying your fake tan, also your ankles knees and elbows need to be exfoliated well , also apply some moisturiser to these parts prior to applying your fake tan, mixing a bit of moisturiser to your fake tan when applying to these parts should prevent them turning orange.

Exfoliating is a must!! Don't forget to moisturise before applying fake tan it helps it go on evenly and you do not end up with BIG dark patches
