Fake Nails & Waxing

Hey All,

Looking to see if anyone has any recommendations on a place to get fake nails done and a place for waxing...eyebrows most specifically. I leave home almost a week before the wedding so to do anything here will be too early. Help!

Hiya!

No idea about the waxing... sorry! I decided I needed my nails doing the day before the wedding (despite only having had them done 5 days earlier) and ended up at a place called 'Happy Nails' near to where we were staying. Walked in, saw those metal mechanical files, and nearly walked out again! I'm a bit OTT when it comes to my nails.... I might not be much of a girlie girl... but my nails are always 'done'. Anyhow... I had acrylic overlays for the grand total of $30 which was a mega bargain compared to the price we pay here in the UK... and I have to say its the nicest my nails have ever looked and lasted a good 3 weeks before I went and had them filled here a couple of days ago. The tips stayed white, the top coat stayed glossy, and they were shaped really well. My aunt had hers done at the same time.... except she had tips applied as well... and hers have apparently lasted really well too.

We just walked in without an appointment and were done and dusted in about an hour. I'm pretty sure they also did waxing but I declined their very generous (?!) offer of having my bits brazillianed!! The place is on the 535 near the Outlet Mall, and next door to Walmart

If you can get to the Florida Mall, go to JCPenny's and ask for Cynthia to wax your brows. I went to her for a good year, and also used her for my wedding. She is great. I think it is $20.

Whatever you do, don't get waxed at the Mandara Spa at the Dolphin. They did a terrible job on my legs, and I wouldn't trust 'em with my brows - you need somebody who only does brows, I think, like the recommendation from PrincessBride07.
